1) Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a Native American author from somewhere in the Southeast. I'd tell y'all more, but I'm a bit paranoid. I love cats, though (I have six of them!) and I would love to get an American Blue Bay Shepherd when I have the time, space, and money. That's a few years in the future, though, and I'm mostly focused on getting my Master's Degree and working at my job.
2) What's your favorite author? Favorite book? They can be from Wattpad or elsewhere.
My favorite book is probably Up Front by Bill Maudlin. It's a bit hard to understand, but I love it. My other one would be An Aviator's Luck; or, The Camp Knox Plot by Frank Cobb. That book is wonderful - if you can track down a copy, I highly suggest you do so!
3) How long have you been writing?
I've been writing for about the past fifteen years.
4) Why you do write? What's your inspiration?
I write because it's my passion. I love creating stories and making worlds for other people to explore. Maybe even fall in love with, if I really do my job well. My inspirations range from national parks I've visited to reading books or fanfics on Wattpad, Ao3, or even Tumblr!
5) What's your preferred genre?
Fantasy. I adore fantasy because there are no rules. I also enjoy writing historical fiction - I love exploring the past.
6) What was your first written story?
Ohhhh boy. Probably a story about toucans when I was in 3rd grade. I don't remember too much of it, but I did enjoy writing it
7) What's your writing process?
My writing process is... well, I don't have too much of one beyond opening the word document, getting a cat, and just letting the words flow. I space out writing with browsing on Tumblr, Reddit, or Instagram. Writing is hard work! I don't like writing huge chunks all at one time, as I feel like the quality of writing suffers.
8) What are your current writing projects? Can you give us a teaser?
Komet Riders is my big one! It's the story of the first operational jet fighter and the pilots who fly them. Of course, I'm playing fast and loose with the history (Reinhardt and Mitija wouldn't have gotten together IRL), so it's more of a historical fantasy book than pure historical fiction. But I can't say much more because I'll spoil it XD
9) Do you have any unpublished stories? If so, why and do you ever plan to publish them?
I actually don't have many drafts beyond scattered notes on my phone. I don't think those count.
10) As a writer, what's the most challenging aspect?
Writing itself is HARD. I don't think many people realize that. Writing is hard work lol. Getting the words on the page seems to be the hardest thing for me - I can easily create a coherent plot, characters for it, and keep everything straight for it, but just writing itself can be HARD. Finding time to write can also be a challenge, too.
11) Where do you see yourself in five years?
I'd love to be a famous author! I'm already self published (https://www.kramsuerauthor.net/ if you want to check it out!) and I would LOVE to be famous and not have to do my day job XD
12) Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
Keep writing. Even though it sucks at times and can be a slog, keep at it. Just keep writing, even though the first draft is rough and you might not get much attention at first. That's about all I can give to aspiring authors. Just keep going and see where it takes you!
