Kagayaku had no idea how she was still breathing without a single scratch on her scales, but in all honesty, she found cheating death quite fun. Mepuru was starting to get extremely worried as the curse turned it up a notch, throwing danger left and right every single day of the week. The Game of Life is unfair, but this young hybrid had actually found joy in cheating it. Gosh, I should've expired weeks ago. Kagayaku thought to herself as she chuckled, staring up at the sky as the sun set, casting a beautiful glow over the hill she and her best friend were laying on. "How are you even still alive?" Mepuru said in between laughter. "No clue, guess I'm just built different." The hybrid replied, smiling up at the vanishing sun.

"They say the Game of Life can't be won, but I feel like I'm winning it right now." She said, feeling the breeze sweep over her scales as her friend cut her laughter. "Oh really now?" She said, giving the hybrid a playful nudge. "This isn't really something we should be joking about. I mean, if we let our guard down, you could die and maybe I could even be hurt." Her tone got serious. "Yeah... I suppose you're right." The hybrid replied, sighing as she sat up. "We should go back home, it's getting cold." Her friend nodded in agreement and the two flew back to the hybrid's house, just a small sleepover to ease her paranoia...

Everything went smoothly and they went to sleep just fine, but things got weird around midnight.

Kagayaku was awoken suddenly, hearing the sound of banging and thumping coming from the living room. She looked down at Mepuru in hopes she was awake and had heard the sounds as well, but the fox coloured dragon was still sleeping soundly, only stirring a little in response to the racket that was happening in the other room. The hybrid bit her lip and sat up in her bed, listening for a little longer to try and decipher what was causing such loud noises. How can Mepuru sleep through this?! She thought as she glared at the sleeping SandWing on the floor. She carefully got out of bed, stepped over her resting friend and opened the door, making sure she didn't make any sounds as not to disturb Mepuru, who was probably dreaming about sleeping in gold or some other crazy thing involving jewellery. She knew how much her friend adored those damned things.

She approached the room with caution, she didn't know what was in there. Perhaps it's the crazy animus dragon she dreamed about? Or an enraged Makoto, trying to find her so she could slit her throat? The hybrid shuddered at that thought. Kaga peered into the room, and all she could see was pitch darkness. Wonderful. What a way to make things more scary. She thought, retracting her head from the room and pressing herself up against the wall. It was that room alright, but what was in there? She wouldn't dare turn the light on, it would most likely make matters worse and it may very well end in her life being lost. She made her way to the kitchen, flicked the light on and began scouring the counter tops. There had to be a flashlight somewhere. She found it by the sink and checked it worked, which it did, thank Astra for that.

She turned the kitchen light off and returned to the living room, taking a deep breath before poking her head in the room and flicking the flashlight on. She scanned the room. Nothing. But what she did see was the coffee table completely flipped over, two of the three plant pots broken with the plant's leaves being completely torn off and... Blood stains. This horrified Kagayaku, causing her to take her head out of there and take a breather, trying to calm her paranoia as she mustered up the confidence to check again. A sudden crash sound from the room made her heart skip a beat. Holy Astra, what's going on in there? She thought to herself, clutching the flashlight close to her chest as she could feel her heart bashing against her ribs in pure fear.

She checked the room again, shining the flashlight around as she saw more destruction. There was stuff flying everywhere and breaking. She bit her lip as another crash sound rang out, if her sister or parents saw this, they'd immediately blame her and Mepuru. More confidence hit the hybrid as she stepped into the room, finding nothing as she shone the light around, her body trembling more and more as she entered the room further. The crashing sounds stopped after a while, which unnerved the hybrid. Had whatever was causing this noticed her? The watch that she was wearing and forgot to take off suddenly started to blare warnings.

"WARNING! YOU ARE IN A DANGEROUS AREA!"

"WARNING! THERE IS A VIOLENT ENTITY NEARBY!"

"WARNING! YOU ARE IN DANGER!"

"WARNING! YOU ARE GOING TO DIE."

These warnings frightened the life out of the hybrid, and she knew never to ignore her watch. Turning around, she tried to run for the door before a sharp pain came from the back of her head. She'd just got hit in the back of the head with a vase, which shattered on impact and showered the young hybrid with glass. Some of it stabbed into her scales and drew blood. Kagayaku's vision grew blurry as her legs began to give way underneath her. No! You need to escape! Her brain yelled at her, but she couldn't move, she could only lay on the floor as the "violent entity" stood over her, laughing softly.

And then she blacked out.

...

...

...

Kagayaku was surpised she even woke up at all, but when she did, her head was pounding and everything stung. "Wha..?" She started, looking around the room as soon as her vision cleared up. She was in her room, the light was on. What had happened? That's what Kagayaku wanted to know. "Oh my god, you're awake!" Came the familiar voice of Mepuru as she came rushing over. "Thank Astra you're still alive!" She said, smiling down at the hybrid who was still in immense pain. "You were really beaten up when I found you, but I've patched up your injuries. That was a close call, the curse almost caught you!" She gave a little laugh as Kaga sat up, looking confused. "Urgh.. What even happened anyways?" She asked, putting a talon on her sore head.

"I have no clue... I just woke up to loud noises in the living room and found you there, unconscious." Her friend explained. "There was nobody there, so I found it really weird. Must've been the curse." Kagayaku took a look at her body. She had a bandage wrapped around her waist, tail and right leg, a quick feel of her head also told her that there was a bandage there and all. "My god." The hybrid muttered, staring at her talons in shock. "My watch... It was saying there was a violent entity nearby. They must have smashed that vase on my head."

"Crazy animus dragon?" The SandWing asked.

"I don't know... I never saw them."

Mepuru frowned, pacing around the room while deep in thought.

"Or maybe... It was Makoto that did this?"
