Aftermath

Jake groaned as he woke up. He felt a weight on his arm, and looked to see Felix. He was snuggling his arm like it was a teddy bear.

Jake felt really close to Felix. Last night was the best. They played video games, watched horror movies, and talked about little nothings. Jake had never had a friend like Felix, and he never wanted to lose it.

Felix rubbed his eyes and moaned as he woke up. He let go of Jake, pushing him away. Jake scoffed sarcastically as he was shoved. And he was just appreciating the boy. Tsk.

Felix giggled a little bit later as he came to reality, the morning daze sorta wearing off. "Man I'm wiped."

Jake laughed aswell. "Me too, but last night was so fun."

Felix smiled, resting his head on his hand and he layed on his side, looking at Jake. "Really? I thought it wasn't since you went to sleep to early."

"That was early?" Jake laughed. "It was like three in the morning, i was exhausted. I had so much fun."

Felix just laughed before rolling on his back. "We should get up." He grabbed his phone and checked the time. "It's almost twelve."

He looked at his notifications, seeing Hyunjin messaged the group chat.

i'm gonna come at twelve. see you then :)

He gasped and sat up. "Oh shit." He exclaimed. "Hyunjin is gonna come at twelve." He turned to Jake, who looked confused.

"..and?"

"And?!?" He yelled. "I look like a mess." He got and up ran to the bathroom. Jake just watched as he closed the door and started to rummage through things.

He plopped back down in the bed. He figured it was cause he had to look good for his little crush or something. He didn't know, he had no clue what a crush was like.

Eventually, Felix came out. He looked really good, he had fixed his hair and face. He looked different, Jake didn't know how. Makeup? I don't know.

Felix looked at Jake. "Do i look better?" He asked.

Jake looked at him, tilting his head. "You look..." good? Handsome? Pretty? "I don't know but you look nice."

Felix giggled. "Dude, you can use any term you'd like. I don't care stop being so gentle. Call me hot if you like."

Jake just laughed. "Felix... you look majestic." He teased.

"Oh fuck off." He walked over to the bed and at down, shoving Jake in the process. "Go fix yourself, you look like you fought something in your sleep."

Jake sighed as he got up. "I called you majestic, be a bit nicer." He closed the bathroom door.

Felix giggled to himself, laying down and going on his phone. He was still in his sleepwear. However, it was just sweatpants and a crewneck so it didn't matter.

Jake opened the door, his hair was brushed so he looked better. "Felix, how do i use makeup. I want to look majestic too."

Felix sat up quickly. "Really? Can I do your makeup?" He smiled, he loved doing makeup.

"Sure." Jake shrugged.

Felix quickly jumped up and went in the bathroom. He pulled out his stool and sat Jake down. He stared to explain the products and show what they were supposed to do.

Jake was very into it, liking how it make him look. He looked.. fresh? He had on some concealer and other things he didn't know the name of.

Felix was in the middle of putting on the lip tint when the doorbell rang. He froze and looked at Jake wide eyed.

Jake smiled and poked his waist, "Lets go get the door, don't make him wait."

He giggled before they both ran off, running down the stairs to the door. Jake opened it, revealing a very handsome Hyunjin. He was always handsome, so it wasn't special.

"Hi guys." Hyunjin said stepping in, taking his shoes off.

"Heyy" Jake replied, doing the hand shake thing again.

"Hi" Felix said. Standing awkwardly.

Hyunjin looked at him, smiling. "You look pretty." He turned to Jake. "And you are wearing makeup. What?"

Jake sorta posed, "and I look good."

"Who taught you? I'm guessing Felix." He asked.

"Mhm, he put it on me before you came."

Hyunjin giggled as they head to the living room. "That's how I got into makeup."

Felix's mom wasn't home, so they sat in the living room. Jake and Hyunjin talked about makeup still, Felix joined in too after a while.

"Oh I almost forgot" Hyunjin said, very eager. "I need to tell you guys about my date."

And just like that, Felix's mood changed. He was just starting to talk a lot and he like himself again, but now it was gone.

"Oh yeah.." Jake said, looking at Felix. He cleared his throat. "So how did it.. how did it go?" He asked.

"Amazing" hyunjin said. He began to explain the date, saying every last detail. He went on for a while. Jake kept looking at Felix and how he shifted uncomfortably. He didn't know whether to be sad for Felix, or happy for Hyunjin.

"And after all that, we kissed." He said, smiling.

Felix felt his heart break and his chest started to hurt. He purses his lips and held back tears. He felt happy that Hyunjin has someone, but he can't help but wish that someone was him.

Jake just shoot his head. "Woah, that's..."

"Yeah. I know right." Hyunjin said.

"Sound like it went well." Felix tried to act normal, but Jake heard the crack in his voice.

The two of them played video games, yes the two. After the conversation, they talked a bit more before Jake suggested the play. He wanted to change the mood, but Felix said he'd watch since he wasn't that good.

He didn't speak much, or even pay attention. He just was in his thoughts. He felt dramatic. He should be happy for him. Honestly, he feels like a sick excuse of a 'best friend'.

It was almost four by now, they had been playing video dames for a while now. Felix had played a round or two , trying to be a good friend and not a sob.

However, he still felt very wrong so he just went back to watching the boys and getting snacks. They talked a lot, and eventually it was time for them both to head home before dinner.

They said there goodbyes. Jake had hugged Felix and whispered a little "it will be okay" as he did. Hyunjin said he would call the two after dinner, and he did. Felix fell asleep that night holding back his tears.
