New boy

Felix basically had held back tears the entire first period, occasionally looking over to the girl. He didn't know her name, what she was like, or anything about her; so he couldn't hate her.

However he did. She probably was a nice person, but he hated the fact she had him.

The bell rang, signaling the end of class. They only had two more periods till lunch, then Felix could be on his own for a bit.

He walked with Hyunjin in the halls, talking with the boy about class as if he wasn't just about to cry. He liked being with Hyunjin, he always made him happy.

They split up in the hall since Hyunjin didn't have the same period as him. He entered the classroom, feeling shy since he didn't know anybody in this class.

He found a seat at the table in the middle row, feeling a bit awkward as he sat alone. He felt a tap on his shoulder and looked to see a boy with black hair standing next to him.

"Is this seat taken?" He pointed to the spot next to him.

He noticed the boys accent, finding it nice. He shook his head no, "it's not, you can sit there." He smiled.

The boy also smiled, "Hey we have the same accent, where are you from?" he said sitting down.

"Sydney." He smiled.

"Ohh, I'm from Brisbane. I'm Jake."

"I'm Felix. And I've been there before, it's a nice city." Felix said to the boy, causing him to smile.

They continued to talk about little things, seriously bonding. Jake said he was new so he didn't know anybody or have any friends, to which Felix smiled and said they should be friends.

Class started and the boys smiled to each other, feeling happy about the new friendship. The teacher was explaining sorta the same thing the English teacher did, so Felix didn't pay that much attention.

Class had ended and the boys packed up their things, happily talking about useless things. Felix felt really comfortable with the boy, he felt like he was just a big teddy bear.

They exited the class together, in close proximity due to the people around them. They were happily talking when Hyunjin walked up to them.

He looked the new boy up and down, "who are you?" He said bitterly.

"I'm Jake.." the boy said, trying to smile even though he felt a little off.

"He's a new friend of mine!" Felix said excitedly, causing Hyunjin to smile at the boy.

"Mkay, let's go to class." He said, looking back at the boy again. Examining him closely.

Felix turned to Jake, "What's your next class?"

"English," he shrugged. "At least i think so..." he quickly pulled out his schedule. "Oh yup, it's English." He smiled.

Felix giggled at the boy, "oh okay, mine and Hyunjin's are different than yours." He pouted.

Felix turned back to Hyunjin, "I'll meet you there, go without me."

Hyunjin furrowed his eyebrows. "Alright then." He looked Jake up and down one more time before walking away.

Jake let out a breath as Hyunjin walked away. "Did i come off the wrong way? I didn't mean to upset your boyfriend.."

Felix widened his eyes. "Oh! No he's not my- he's my best friend."

"Ohh." Jake said, nodding his head.

"Yeah." Felix laughed awkwardly. "Let's go to class?"

"Yeah, let's go." Jake said.

Felix walked into his class after walking Jake to his. He walked in with a smile, liking how the day was going.

He saw Hyunjin motioning him to sit in the seat he saved, so he walked over to the boy with a smile. "Hi Jinnie, thank you for saving me a seat." He said sitting down.

"Ah don't thank me." Hyunjin waved him off.

"So," Felix said. "Why did you not like Jake earlier?"

Hyunjin turned his head to him, confused. "What do you mean? I liked him?"

Felix furrowed his eyebrows. "But- what?"

The teacher started to talk, so Hyunjin's attention went up front. Felix just kept looking at the boy, trying to figure out what the hell he was talking about.

Felix and Hyunjin exited the classroom. "That was the most boring class yet." Hyunjin groaned.

"Yeah, but at least it's lunch time now. I'm famished." Felix said dramatically.

Hyunjin giggled at the boys word choice and they walked down the hall to the cafeteria. It was a big room, with a glass ceiling.

"Woah.." both the boys said in sync looking up. They both snapped their heads back down to each other, giggling at the little interaction.

They got in the food line, getting the lunch that surprisingly looked good. They payed for the lunch and went to sit down at a table.

They chatted for a bit before a boy came running up to Felix. He plopped down next to the boy, breathing heavily.

"Dude," he panted. "I had to run to get in line, they were closing it!" He groaned.

Felix giggled at the boy.

"But honestly, this food looks worth it. I guess they are actually getting good stuff now." He continued.

This time, Felix wasn't the only one laughing. Hyunjin did too, causing Jake to jump. "You scared me, i didn't know you were there." He said, more yelled.

"Shhh." Felix said.

Jake laughed before he actually said hi to the boys, earning a greeting back. Hyunjin didn't look at the boy any way now, he actually talked to the boy like he was his friend.

"Ahh." Hyunjin said suddenly. "I'm sorry for earlier, by the way." He said to Jake.

"Oh it's no big deal, I would have looked at you the same way." He said. "Actually no, because your really handsome."

Felix lightly slapped Jake, "Not my best friend, go swoon over someone else." He giggled.

Jake laughed as well, "okay fine."

The three boys bonded the rest of the lunch. Eventually getting joined by their favorite sophomore, Jeongin.

They went to the rest of their classes, which was only two since they got out at 2 pm. It was the end of the day, and Felix was walking to his locker with Jake.

"What's ur number?" Jake asked the boy, to which Felix typed it in his phone.

He went back to getting stuff out of his locker and was almost done when he got a tap on the shoulder.

He looked over to see Yujin standing there.
