Today Matt is coming over to my house so we can actually spend some time alone and have a lazy day. We were gonna go out but he's been pretty stressed out lately with YouTube so instead I told him we'd just watch some movies and nap. He of course tried to tell me he was perfectly fine and still wanted to go out but forgot I can tell when he lies. I have a few surprises for him too which I'm super excited about. I'm just finishing getting everything ready when I hear a knock at the door. Heading downstairs I see my mom already opening the door. 

"Hi Matthew, how are you?" My mother asks him

"Hi, I'm good how are you?" He responds smiling

My mom has always loved all the triplets but Matt was always her favourite, has called him a gentleman since she first met him. Although she never outright said it I know she always secretly  wished I'd end up with Matt, he's the complete opposite of my father which is exactly why she loves him. Ever since he left she always was making sure my standards were incredibly high so I didn't end up in her position. 

Ever since I was a child I remember my parents fighting. They fought over everything and anything, dad was always controlling and picking fights with mom for no reason. I of course was never good enough for him, always told me I was just like my mother and wished he'd had a boy. I was always scared of him but was first to defend mom once I got older, she never deserved anything he said to her. 

I first told the triplets about my parents fighting in the middle of our grade nine year, they had one of their biggest fights and my dad took a lot of it out on me. He screamed at me some of the most horrible things I've ever heard. He never laid a hand on me, but in that moment I wished he would've instead. I ran out of the house all the way to the triplets, when I got there Chris answered. I remember him not saying anything just pulling me into a hug and calling out for Nick and Matt, I think I cried in their arms for two hours straight. I'd fallen asleep in Matts room after talking about it all with him, the last thing I remember him saying was that he promised he'd never yell at me. He's kept that promise ever since.

"I'm great!" My mother smiled

Once I reach the bottom of the stairs his eyes shift to me and he smiles I return it and my mom leaves the room. 

He immediately wraps his arms around my waist pulling me into a hug. 

"I missed you." He mumbles into my neck

"I saw you two days ago." I giggle "But I missed you too." 

 We stay like that for a minute before he breaks away and gives me a quick kiss. I grab his hand and pull him up to my room. Once we enter I pull him into my bathroom and stand him in front on the counter. 

"What's all this?" He asks confused 

"Well I know you've been stressed recently so I got out a few things to give you a mini spa day." I smile hugging him from behind "Pick one thing out of every pile."
