Sunday arrived. I was picking out an outfit for the meet up. The white mini dress or the basic - jeans and tee?
I decided to go with the white dress.

I have known their names only. I didn't get very close to anyone of them yet, well accept for John. He was my senior in high school.

The cafe was a 15 minute ride from my place. I took a taxi and went there.

It's 2 o'clock when I reached there, the time we agreed to meet at.
I straightened out my dress, took a breath and walk towards the door. I looked at my phone to checked  for any new messages. Recieving none. I looked up and accidentally bumped into a man.
"Sorry", I apologized.
He just gave me a smile, not the wide kind of smile and opened the cafe door for me to walked in. I thanked him as I walked in. I scanned the room once and walked towards the direction of a group of people.

"Single's Inferno?", My voice made a slight audible sound.
"Oh, yes. Please take a seat", a male moved the chair and gestured
me to sit next to him.
I thanked him as I took the seat and faced them. The guy I bumped into at the  front door joined us too.

"Hi,everyone. I'm Celine", I said as I gave my hand a wave. They introduced themselves as " Mary, Malone, Mexson, Charles and Drew". The gentleman who makes me sit next to him is Drew'.
And the one I met at the door is Charles.
I make sure to get their names correctly.

"So, how did you guys know John?", I asked. He's the only mutual friend we have so might as well asked them.

Mexson - We went to same college.  Drew and Charles are friends. We became friends through online gaming platform....

And he turned to me.

I- Well, John is my senior. We went to same highschool.

I faced the girl called Mary.

Mary: Honestly speaking, he's my ex best friend and we become friends too. I guess.

She says with a glare at Mexson.
Wait a minute. This group is created by John to patched up this two broken love birds? I have to be careful. I gave myself a nod.

The door chimes. We all face to looked at the person entering it. It's John. A relieved smile washed over me as he walked in. Malone stood up , greeted him with a hugged. We all were surprised.

Charles - Am I seeing it right? Has these two become a thing??

We all wooo'ed.

"Congrats!!", We all chimed.

We spend our time well, talking over every topic that sparked our minds , trying to find a common ground in all.

It's time for departure, we were saying our goodbyes. And John joked. I'll take that as a joke. He said, " Valentine's near. We got no time to waste. I'll be expecting some of you to date".

When he said those words I looked over Charles. I don't know why. Maybe because he helped me opened the door. Maybe it's because I want to see if he has someone he likes in the group. Maybe because I kinda look forward to getting to know him, only if there's an opening.
I found him not looking at anyone particularly,but Mary.. she's stealing glances at Charles.
Oddly, that makes me sad. Funny, right?

"Celine?", Mexson called for my attention." It was nice meeting you", he said.
"Same here. ", I smiled.
