Vengeance drove her after she witnessed her mother being murdered. The murderer's face, his features, his everything, she took it all in.
Blair Weiss joined the military to find her mother's killer and avenge her. But things are not usually smooth...
<Blair> I couldn't sleep the whole night. My dad's words kept repeating in my head. I looked at the clock.
6:00 am
I slipped my blanket off and went into the bathroom. I turned on the shower and cold water hit my body.
"I need to talk to dad." I mumbled to myself. I dried myself off and got dressed. By the time I headed down, dad was already sitting on the couch, waiting for.
"Come on, sit." he said.
I sat down, bracing myself for whatever he was going to say.
"I was a part of the special forces in the military. We got rid of gangs and even solved other country's conflicts. Funny thing is that I met your mom on one of those missions. It was like love at first sight. We settled down and she moved in with me. That was almost the time we had you." he laughed to himself.
I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
"But, she had to go away. She had debts to pay and she didn't want to burden me. She wanted to protect us." his voice cracked.
It was rare for my dad to see my dad almost breaking down. It hurts my heart to make him say it, but I need to know.
"Dad, tell me, why are you doing this all of a sudden?" I said sternly. "The military is deploying me to Europe. I have to be away for at least a year." my eyes widened.
"You're leaving?" I whispered. He was about to continue his sentence but then, the doorbell rang. He went to open the door.
He came back with Abel walking behind him. "I'm not leaving you alone, I will have Abel and his team look after you."
"You mean train and whip her into shape." He shrugged. I glared at him for his backhanded insult. I then saw the empty boxes in his hands. "WHat are those for?" I frowned.
"Wait, she doesn't know?" Abel asked my dad. He shook his head and sighed. "Blair, you have to move to Los Angeles." Abel said. "It is no longer safe here, this is another reason why your dad is telling you all this now."
"What do you mean by not safe?" I asked. "They knew that we were tracking them, so they moved. So for everyone's safety, we are moving back to base. Pack your things, we're moving tonight."
I opened my mouth to protest but my dad shook his head. I took the boxes and headed up. I opened my room door and stared at it. I slowly realised that I never really decorated it.
I took my clothes and shoved them into the box and packed the smaller items. That was when I saw the picture frame with me, my mom and dad. I ran my thumb across mom's face and I felt tears welling up in my eyes. "Feeling sentimental now?" Abel leaned on the door frame.
"Do you have a problem with me?" I retorted. "Come down when you're done." he said before leaving again. I carefully put it into my bag and continued to pack what's left.
Moments later, I heard chatters downstairs. There were two other people with Abel, a blonde girl and a tall guy with brown hair. "Ah, Blair, come down and meet the team." Abel said.
The blonde girl looks gorgeous with her clear blue eyes.

"My name is Eloise Ko, nice to meet you, pretty girl" I smiled in response to her compliment. She was definitely someone I would fall for but that's not the point.
The guy stepped forward and he towered over me.
"Hey, my name is Theo, Theo Doweiko. Nice to meet you." He extended his arm for a handshake and I shook it.

I was a little stunned, he looks hot.
Like, really hot.
He had brown eyes and he was really tall and he had several tattoos running along his arms.
He gently gripped a little tighter and I felt my face heat up a little.
Damn, his hands look hot-, no, focus Blair.
I withdrew my arm and cleared my throat. "Nice to meet you both, my name's Blair Weiss." He gave me a small smile and I returned it.
"Well, now that we're all acquainted, shall we get going?" Abel said, clapping his hands together.
"I thought you said tonight." I questioned.
He let out a soft chuckle. "The earlier we leave, the better."
"The car's ready, we can leave anytime." Theo said. I nodded and headed up to get my stuff and Eloise and Theo followed behind me.
My room now looked bare and the white walls had traces of nails where picture frames were hung.
I grabbed the boxes and was heading out the door when I knocked into Theo.
"Ah sorry."
"It's fine, let me give you a hand." Theo grabbed the boxes from my hands and headed down the stairs. I kinda froze and could only mumble. "Thanks..."
I turned to grab the last of the boxes and left the room.
I took one last glance before shutting the door behind me.
We loaded the last of our things in the car and me and dad took one last look at the house.
"I hope we can come back." I said. "Well, that's something we can look forward to." my dad smiled.
The car took off and I stared as the house became smaller in the distance.
It was just a few days ago that things were normal and everything changed in two days.
What's going to happen from now?
