Warning: mention of weapons
<Blair>
The air was cold and the streets were still quiet. I jogged past the park down the street and made a left before the traffic light.
I can't forget that eerie call I just received.
"Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Blair Weiss, meet me at the 6th Avenue coffee shop." his voice was really deep, most likely an older man.
"Who the hell are you?" I was cautious to not disclose further.
"I'll be waiting." I felt a chill go down my spine.
'Hey, answer-" He hung up, leaving me confused and frustrated.
Who could it have been?
As I ran and tried to cut the corner, someone sped past me with their bike and nearly crashed into me.
"HEY, WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING!" he shouted. All I could do was apologise and continue on with my way.
I really need to focus.
I headed back to the apartment to see Theo still lying on the couch. I peeked over and he was snoozing softly.
I set my phone aside and made my coffee. I slumped against the kitchen top and sipped on the ever so bitter coffee.
Maybe coffee is not my thing.
I heard some shuffling and I saw Miles walking out of the room. He was in a tank top and a pair of sweatpants. I gotta admit that he is fit and quite attractive. But his attitude is a no go.
I saw his knuckles still bruised and I remembered why I shouldn't approach him.
I poured the coffee down the sink and set the mug away. I opened the fridge to see absolutely nothing except that one pathetic apple sitting in the corner.
I sighed and picked up my jacket again. "Where are you going again?" I heard Miles mumble out. He had that same frown on but he sounded less angry this time.
"Breakfast, wanna go?" Shit, why did I say that?
"Sure." Why did he agree, ugh.
I don't know what happened, but the walk to the cafe was very silent. I had to break the silence or I'm gonna suffocate.
"Hey, what happened to your hand?"
"Nothing much, it's just-" he was cut off by his phone. "Sorry, let me take this call."
His expression turned even more grim and he looked at me. He dragged me off the sidewalk without saying anything, taking me somewhere.
"Hey...HEY, where the hell are you taking me?" I shouted, yanking my arm out of his grip. He sighed in frustration and tried to grab me again.
"What the fuck is your problem, how are you changing a whole 180 degrees after a damn call. Say something-"
"We are being tracked, specifically you."
"Wha-"
"If you don't want to get caught, shut up and follow me." Well, he got my mouth shut.
Was it the person from the phone call this morning?
He dragged me into some random store and went into the bathroom. He pushed me into the cubicle and shut the door.
"Blair, no matter what, do not come out. Do you understand me?" I tried to protest but he smacked the door, making me flinch.
