Ty yawned, as he opened his eyes slowly, being shooting up right in his bed, but sighed in relief when he realised he was in his bedroom. He looked outside, where it was bright, and then to the clock, it saying it was 9 in the morning.
Ty seemed confused. He had never slept in like this before, he always got up round 6-7?
Ty got up anyway, and pulled on a white t-shirt, with some blue jeans and a black jacked tied around his waist. Ty walked down out of his bedroom and down into the barn, looking at all of the horses stalls, but quickly walked outside when noticing Storm was not in his stable.
Ty sighed in relief, when seeing Storm in the Paddock infront of the barn, so he walked over to him and gave him a little pat.
"Hey Boy. Sorry, but I can't stay I have things to get done." Ty mumbled, patting Storms neck and throwing him an apple, what he ate, Ty then turning round seeing Clint's car parked infront of the house, as he walked over to the house and walked inside.
Ty found Lucas in the kitchen, with Amelia also there, Jacob and Milly playing by the stairs with there toy horses and barn animals, Ty looking over to Clint who was talking with Amelia and Lucas.
"Uh, Clint, hey." Ty said, as Clint smiled at him and patted his shoulder.
"Ty, just the boy I was hoping to run into." Clint said, as Ty smiled slightly.
"Well, I am the favourite round here." Ty said, sending a quick teasing smirk to Lucas who glared at him, "Anyway, what's up?"
"Well, Mr. Broomhall has lost Storm." Clint said, as Ty smiled widely, "But... he now is owned by the slaughter house."
"What!?" Ty shouted, just as Jack walked in with Amy.
"What's going on?" Jack asked, noticing the shock and saddness on Ty's face, "Ty, what's wrong?"
"But, how could they do this?" Ty asked.
"I'm not sure, Son." Clint mumbled, resting a soft hand onto Ty's shoulder, "But, I'm working on fixing this. I promise you, Storm will be okay. I'll think of something."
"But... they own him! I mean, why? He's in good health, he even broke his leg and the vets said he would never run or compete again! And, guess what happened? He can be good help," Ty said.
"I know Ty, but it's not that simple. They paid triple the price, and anybody would jump at that moment! And, Mr. Broomhall said he was a wild, un-trained horse, and he 'pushed you' almost trampling you to death." Clint said.
"But... why would he lie? All they have to do is come here, and we can tell them the truth! There was 8 eye witnesses, Clint!" Ty said, "I just don't get it. He's a good horse, please... don't let him go."
"I'm trying my best." Clint said, bringing Ty into his side, as Lucas and Amelia sighed.
"I need to go now. I'll see you guys later, okay? Bye, Milly, Bye Jacob!" Clint shouted, patting Ty's back, and moving to the front door, them hearing the engine starting up and then driving off.
"He really is trying, T." Lucas said softly.
"Yeah, I know." Ty grumbled.
"Uncle T?" Ty looked down, finding Jacob and Milly.
"Yes Buddy?" Ty asked.
"Are you sad?" Jacob asked, as Ty chuckled softly and bent down to pick the young boy up.
"No, Bud. I'm okay." Ty said, as Milly looked upto him.
"Ty, what was his talking about?" Jack asked, as Ty looked to him, he then looked at Amy, who kinda looked guilty and sad, and worried for him.
