Amy sat outside on the porch, with Jack sitting beside her, and Tim standing leaning against the pole with Lou on the other side of Jack. They all sat there, while they saw Ty sitting oon Storm, with a briddle with some sort of graving on it, in Storm's mouth, and a saddle they never seen before on the horses back. Lucas stood beside Ty, hand on his knee, and a hand on the horses neck.

"So, come on." Lucas said, stepping back.

"What?" Ty asked.

"Jump the fence. You've gotta do it on your own, not let Storm do it for you." Lucas said, as Ty looked at the fence, "You can jump fences in your sleep! Now, come on."

Ty took a deep breath, as he kicked Storm on and bent down into his jumping position, while Storm was trotting. Ty jumped the fence, as his hand slipped and he went forwards, sighing as he rested a hand onto his ankle, while Lucas jumped over the fence and kneeled on one knee beside him, while Storm didn't run away or anything, he just stood there, nuzzleing into Ty's neck.

"You okay, Bud?" Lucas asked, resting a hand onto Ty's shoulder.

"Mhm. I think I am a little out of practise." Ty said, as Lucas stood up and helped him up, Ty stumbling slightly.

"I wouldn't blame you. Now, up you get." Lucas said, walking back over to his position, while Ty patted Storm's neck and jumped into the saddle, bringing Storm round the fence, as he resumed his trotting.

Storm sped up a little, but Ty kept him at a steady paste, thise time he didn't go into his jumping position, he couldn't! He tensed up, as he didn't realise it, but he actually was pulling on his reins, so Storm came to a holt, with a jolt, causing Ty to slip lightly in his saddle.

"Hey." Lucas whispered, "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

"I've got to! For his sake." Ty said, as Storm looked at him worriedly, "We've got to do it again! But, faster. We need to beat that record."

"Ty, we need distractions. It won't exactly be quite, and theres other people competeing as well, you need top marks!" Lucas said, as Ty sighed, "Hey, nail this first then we'll focus on the other things, doesn't matter how slow or fast. Okay?"

Ty nodded, as he pulled Storm back, as Lucas stepped away from the fence. Ty sighed, and looked at the fence, then to Storm.

"What do you say Bud? We do this, then we can stay together." Ty whispered, patting Storm's neck, as Storm neighed softly. Ty kicked Storm on, as he bent lower to the saddle and his butt lifted out of the saddle, he tensed but loosed the reins.

Storm neighed, when they leaped over the fence, and landed perfectly. Ty's landing abit sloppy, as he smiled, at the fence.

"You did it!" Lucas shouted, as Ty smiled.

"Course I did. I'm the best rider here." Ty smirked, as Lucas playfully punched his leg, as Lucas walked along side Storm, as Ty was still sat on the horses back.

Storm neighed loudly, as he came to a stop, Ty looking down at him then to where he was looking.

"He's had a tough life." Lou suddenly spoke up, from where she sat with Jack, Amy, and Tim.

"Yeah... his Father. Are those where his scars were from?" Amy asked, as they all shrugged and continued as they watched Ty sitting on Storm's back, as Lucas had lifted Jacob up into the saddle infront of Ty, when Ty shuffled backwards, and Milly sat between Ty and Jacob.

"Jump! Jump! Jump!" Jacob shouted, as Storm neighed and shook his main.

"Not sure thats such a good idea, bud." Ty said, ruffleing the younger boys hair, while Jacob messed with the reins, obviously not haveing no control over the horse, as he really only listens to Ty and who Ty lets ride him.
