Ch.2- The Hunt

-Nikki's POV-
I woke up from Ellie licking my face. I turned back and saw Dan sleeping and Darcie is cuddled against his chest. I took Dan's phone from his bedside table and took a picture. I sent it to IG and Twitter. Dan groaned and he looked up and saw me with his phone in my hands. "What were you doing?" I just smiled and showed him the picture. He laughed and got out of bed. He looked at me, but then his eyes changed from his beautiful sea blue to a crimson red. "Dan...your eyes." He ran out and looked in the mirror. "Not now." I heard him mumble. "Dan, is everything ok?" He looked at me and he started to make me very scared. "I have to go." Then, he just ran out the door and was gone. What is wrong with him? Is he not human?
-Dan's POV-
Ever since Nikki saw my eyes, I knew my lust came. So, I ran away from home and started feeding on deer blood. As I was feeding, I heard something snap and I turned around very fast and pinned down someone. "Dan, get off me!!" I realized I tackled Mark. "Should you at least tell me it was you? I nearly killed you." I got off Mark and helped him up on his feet. "Dan, what's going on? Your girlfriend is getting suspicious about your vampire powers. Deer." I turned around and killed a deer. I finished and look at Mark again. "It's getting out of control. It's wanting my beast to come out. I can't hold it much longer before she sees my true self." I start to panic and started feeling the monster inside me wanting to get out but I keep forcing it back. "Here, Dan. This will make it go down." Mark says as he injects the liquid that keeps the beast away. "Thanks, Mark. I'm gonna go back home." But before I walked away, Mark threw a towel. "Face...blood." I chuckled and I wiped off the blood off my face. I threw it back to Mark and went home. As I walked inside, I saw Nikki watching TV in the living room and the pugs were sleeping on the other couch. "I'm so sorry I scared you babe. Can you forgive me?" She turned to me and kissed me. "I forgive you. You feeling better, though?" I sat down next to her and nodded. I held her in my arms and she fell asleep. I picked her up and took her to bed. As I set her down, I was thinking how am I not feeding off her? I've never tasted human blood. I've tried it with myself but the wounds keep healing and I have vampire blood. And it doesn't taste very good at all. Nikki rolled over on her left side and I saw her neck just in plain site. I smelled her blood. My lust wanted me to drink her but I refused but my list took over and I leaned in to her neck, fangs bared out. I'm so sorry babe. I really am...
