-Nikki's POV-
I was walking home from work and I saw a full moon, in the clear night sky. I smiled at it because of how it's beautiful in the night sky. Then, it changed from its crystal white to a crimson red. "Is it a Eclipse?" I questioned. I just ignored and kept walking back home. When I got home, I walk inside and see that Dan isn't home. Mark and Sean come from the living room. "Nikki, you should take a vacation. You've been so busy that you never got any time with your pugs." Mark said. I looked at him, then I saw Dan in the middle of the living room floor, lying down. "Dan!" I go to his side and shook him. "Dan, what's wrong?" As I gripped his hand, he gripped my hand back but with more force. I felt like he is breaking my hand. "Dan, ow! Stop!" Then, he looked at me, his eyes are a blood red, his skin is so white and...his fangs were elongate. He's a vampire!! "Nikki, run!" Sean yelled out. I tried to get out of Dan's grip but it felt like my hand was now broken. I kept struggling but Mark tacked Dan and I ran upstairs. I went into the bathroom and locked myself in. I hid in the corner and was shaking so badly. How was I blind? I'm dating a vampire! "Nikki, it's Jemma. Can I come in?" I couldn't speak or move of what I saw from Dan. Then, the door was kicked open and Jemma, Dan's little sister, came to me and held me. "I'm sorry we kept it a secret." A secret! I'm dating a fucking monster! "Why didn't you fucking tell me, Jemma?! I did see his red eyes but I didn't know if his eyes changed very often?" Jemma grabbed my broken hand and wrapped it in a gauze. "I didn't know how you would react about Dan being a vampire. Plus, what you just witness, that was his true form of a vampire during a Blood Moon." Jemma said as she finished wrapping my hand. "A Blood Moon?" She nodded. "It happens every 4 months on the second full moon. It makes Dan's monster side take control of his body. When the Blood Moon starts, it lasts almost 4 weeks. After that, he is back to normal." I looked to her, then to my hand. "Are you, Mark and Sean gonna protect me when the event happens?" Jemma smiled and nodded. "I promise to keep you alive and safe." I got up from the floor, so did Jemma. We walked back downstairs and saw Mark, with a huge claw mark on his arm. "I'm fine. Dan got me good though. But he is in the basement. Just don't go down there at all." I nodded. Sean came back and looked at me. "You ok?" "I'm fine. My hand will be very sore until it's healed." Sean smiled and hugged me. "I'm glad. Me and Mark are gonna stay here during the 4 weeks of the Blood Moon. We don't want you getting hurt again." Sean said. I guess I'll have to be protected from Dan so I don't get hurt. It's gonna be a long 4 weeks for me.
