Ch.3- No Control

-Mark's POV-
I was bored back home, so I decided to walk over at Dan's place. Yes, they now live close to me in California about 5 minutes away. They never loved their old home in the UK and they moved here. I walked up to the front door and knocked. I waited but no answer. Dan usually answers the door very quick. "Dan? You home?" Then, I heard a growling. I kicked the door down and ran upstairs to their bedroom and saw Dan drinking from Nikki. "Dan, stop!!" I say as I tackled him to the ground. I injected the fluid and he went to sleep. His monster is getting more out of control and he can't hold it much longer. I go up to Nikki and checked her pulse. She is still alive barely. If Dan kept going, she would of died. I grabbed a bandage and wrapped her neck. She needs rest so get her energy. I went downstairs and grabbed some sweets like some cookies and candy to make her not feel very dizzy when she wakes up. I go back over to Dan and picked him up. I laid him on the couch in his living room and I took one of Dan's books and read it until he woke up.
-Dan's POV-
My lust was trying to kill my girlfriend. Why would I do that to her? I love Nikki. I hear someone talking and I slowly open my eyes, and my vision cleared. I am in my living room, lying on my couch. I saw Mark sitting next to me, plus Jack. Guess he needed to see if I'm alright? "You feeling ok, buddy?" Jack said, sitting down across from me. I rubbed my head and nodded. "What happened? Last time I know was I was getting Nikki into bed and that was it." Mark sighed and looked at me with a very disappointed look. "Dan, your monster is out of control. You almost killed Nikki by drinking her life until she was dead. I actually wanted to hang out but I knew something was wrong. Your lust from her blood made you go crazy. We're gonna have to put a necklace with a certain type of magic that will keep you from your beast to be released. And we don't want that when Nikki is around you. Got it?" Mark said. He pulled out the necklace and gave it to me. I put it on and I hope it actually works. But now, I feel really bad. I almost killed Nikki. "But what if my beast loses control? What if it is released?" I said, having a concern look. "It won't be released if you have that necklace with you at all times." Jack said. I nodded. After a few minutes of talking, Mark and Jack left my house. I kept looking at the necklace and I'm am very worried about myself and Nikki. I hid the necklace under my shirt and went upstairs and walked into our bedroom. Nikki has a wrap around her neck. I sighed and I lied down next to her and held her. I'm a monster...I have no control...
