Ch.6- Blood Moon (Week 1)

-Jemma's POV-
I was in the kitchen, making a tea for Mark and Nikki. Sean left a while to get some food for us. I heard Dan hissing from the basement. Why can't he just be quiet? "Nikki, Sean is back." Mark yells out. I finished the tea and took both cups and went to the living room. "Here you go Mark and Nikki." I give them both their drinks. "Thankyou." Mark said. I nodded and took a seat by Sean. I look over to Nikki and she didn't pick up her tea. Is she still worried about Dan being this...monster? "Jemma, when do you think he will be back to normal after the four weeks are up?" Nikki spoke out. "Like we said. Four weeks." I answered. "I know but...what day?" She asked. "You know what's? I don't know what day? That's a very good question?" I started to think. I think Dan's monster never left his body after 8 weeks. And that was 5 years ago. "Do you know?" Sean asks. I look at them and sighed. "I don't know at all. But his monster lasted in his body for 8 weeks but I was only 18 at that time. Our parents knew when but they never told us...before...before they..." Then, I break down into tears. I can't speak of his name in this house or Dan will have my head. "Jemma, before what? Tell us. We're your friends." Nikki spoke. I took a deep breath and looked at everyone. "Our parents were vampire hunters. Me and Dan were ready to fight the monsters that walk on the earth today. Then, one day, me and Dan were coming home from school, and when we got home, we smelt of blood. We panicked and ran away. We knew that the vampires broke into our home and they killed our parents. We never went back there. We stayed at a friends house until we got our own place to live. Later that same day, it was dark. Everyone was sleeping. Dan slept downstairs. It was a mistake of him sleeping down there. The vampires that killed our parents grabbed Dan and turned him into the monster. It's just so scary that it still haunts my dreams ever since. I'm sorry." I cried more and Sean took me in his arms and held me. "Jemma, I didn't know. I'm sorry." Nikki said as she joined in the hug. "Same here." Mark joins in aswell. "Thankyou..." We stayed like this until Dan's hissing made us all jump. I hope these next few weeks go by very quick? I want my big brother back.
