The week had went by really fast and Mandel hadn't showed up in school since the Tuesday she had slammed me to the wall in the Juniors block.Something definitely wasn't right!
I initially made plans to visit her during the weekend, on a Saturday, but then I remembered I had to meet Aidan at his place for our music practice.
Aidan had gotten my number during the week just so he could send me the details to getting to his place.
Ifeoluwa just so happened to be visiting a friend during the weekend to, and we had dropped him off minutes ago at the place he claimed was Ayomide's and now, I watched my driver drive the car farther away from me as I stood quietly at the front of the gate to Aidan's house.
I brought my phone nearer to my ear as I stared at the large shiny black gate. "I'm at the front of your house gate, Aidan."
"I'll send someone to get you." He said, and I nodded, forgetting for a moment that he couldn't see me.
"Okay." I said.
About a minute later, I heard sounds behind the gate and the face of a dark old man with tribal marks had poked out.
"Oga son say make you enter." He told me, and I smiled at him, thanking him also.
I stepped into the compound, the suprisingly large compound adorned with well cut flower blushes and trees, and the man led me towards the door to the building. He knocked on it and when it was pulled open, a young girl in uniform who looked like she could be in her late teens ordered me to come on.
Yeah, you read right. Ordered.
She took me passed the extremely large living room, up the long staircase and through the wide hallway before she finally stopped in front of a door and knocked.
Believe me, that could count as a good exercise.
I heard a voice say 'come in', and I definitely didn't miss the disdain and annoyance in the eyes of the young female worker as she gave a last glance at me. I raised a brow at her and went into a snarl, she glared at me a last time and walked off.
God knows I did nothing wrong.
I slowly turned the door knob and pushed it open, then took a step into the room slowly. I saw Aidan laying on the bed with his head resting on the arms he placed on the pillow, staring at the ceiling and—
I covered my eyes with my palms and subconsciously let out a loud scream.
"W-what? What happened?" I heard him ask, as shuffling sounds came after words.
"You know a girl's coming to visit, and what did you do? You just lay down on your bed naked! Did it ever occur to you that you were supposed to put on clothes?!" I exclaimed with my hands still covering my eyes.
I heard a loud chuckle from him, and I imagined him looking down at himself. "Otamayomi, I'm not naked. Just shirtless."
"Then, go put on a shirt. Geez!" I exclaimed again.
I heard another chuckle from him and I so wanted to kick him then.
Soon, I hear footsteps moving around the place, then came shuffling sounds and soon everything stopped.
"I've put on a shirt. You can remove your hands now." He said. And when I brought my hands down, letting out a sigh of relief, I could see him staring at me in amusement.
I narrowed my brows and kicked him on the leg. He held it up immediately, looking at me in mock pain.
"That's what you get for laughing at me." I said, with a smile playing on my lips. I tried so much not to show it.
