AIDAN:
° ° ° ° °
The automatic bell went off minutes ago, signaling the end of the school day. As I stepped out of the school building and headed for the parking lot to await my driver, I heard my name being called rather hysterically behind me. It had me frowning and creasing my brows in annoyance.

I turned around and watched Ayomide run towards me, with a huge grin plastered on his face.

"Aidan!" He yelled one last time, knowing fully well I was watching him.

My frown deepened as I watched it. "Stop chanting my name, Ayo. It's not a song."

He smacked my right shoulder once he'd gotten to me and beamed at me.

"Seriously?" I let out, rubbing the shoulder he hit and rolling my eyes.

"Omo, babes dey fight oo!" He laughed.

I raised a brow. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about Mandel dem." He said.

I remained silent and kept my raised brow in place. He sighed in frustration.

"Tammy, Amorette and Mandel nau. Keep up." He groaned.

I laughed. "Oh." And then, I realized what he had just said and I narrowed my brows. "Wait, what do you mean they fought?"

He placed his lower arm on my right shoulder and leaned slightly on it, with a leg crossed over the other. Then, he looked at me and smiled.

"Exactly what you heard."

He moved away and stood before me. "Well, Amorette and Mandel were the ones in the fight, Tammy just ended it."

"Why were they fighting?" I asked.

"It had something to do with the girl Amorette was hanging out with. That's all I know." He shrugged and I nodded. He kept silent for a while, walking backwards in front of me as I continued to head for the parking lot. Then, his face lit up and he laughed, and laughed, and laughed.

I had to stop moving to watch his insane behavior. I stared back at him, confused, with my head tilted slightly to the side, and at that moment, I suddenly decided that he had to be born with a missing screw, if that were possible.

"Omo." He said, still laughing a bit. "Amorette slapped Mandel."

I felt taken aback by what he had just said. "What?"

"Yeah." He said. "She was all like.."

He made an angry face, and stood with his chest out, resembling one of those angry muscle men.

"I'm so mad at you. I hate you!!"

And then, he wacked the air using great force with his palm.

"KPAA!!" He exclaimed, and then, he burst into laughter again.

He tried to stifle his laughter as he continued. "Then, Mandel was like..."

He stood at a place and bent his head, hiding his face. Slowly, he revealed it and made a face. It was meant to be perceived as mad, but, My God! He made it look like he was trying to kiss someone with the most serious expression I'd ever seen.

I burst into laughter myself, clutching my arms round my stomach.

"Stop nau." He said, chuckling. "I'm telling you what happened."

A mental image of the face he made came to my mind again.

I shut my eyes and stretched a hand out, signaling him to wait.
