Zera asked Raze to wash the wood chippings off and sit down at the table. She felt a little guilty that Raze had done so much work, and she hadn't even finished cooking yet, but Raze still followed her instructions, which made her feel a tinge of warmth too. Raze wasn't too tired. She has to admit this body has too many advantages in its physical ability. After she scooped up some water and washed the dust and chippings off of her, she went and sat down at the table looking at her newly married wife. It could be seen from how immaculate the yard is that she's a hard working woman. Raze thinks that the way these ancients think is moronic. She didn't believe there was anything wrong with Zera's mother being a prostitute. In this involuntary world, what a woman wants means little to the rest. She felt even more disgusted with the attitudes of the people towards Zera. From the moment she was born, she was never going to live a good life. Even if she was born a boy, just the fact that they were born to a prostitute has made them unable to stand on equal footing with everyone else. Her first impressions of this new world were deplorable, even revolted.
She watched as Zera started placing the dishes on the table. Her focused expression, and her small but calm footsteps were mesmerising. Before she knew it Zera had already finished placing the dishes and sat down urging Raze.
"Let's eat, aren't you hungry?"
Raze snapped back to reality. She smiled and started eating. The dishes were well made. Raze couldn't help eating most of it.
Zera breathed a sigh of relief. She was worried it wouldn't be to Raze's taste. She was a little happy that someone was enjoying the meal she made, but she guessed that she should start making more. Raze is very large, so she must need to eat much more then what she cooked today. She went and grabbed some steamed buns, and spoke apologetically.
"I'm sorry. You worked so hard and I didn't even give you enough to eat".
Raze grabbed the plate from her hand while denying.
"It wasn't hard for me. Your food was delicious and even I'm surprised I could eat so much".
This wasn't a lie. Raze really had never eaten so much before but this body seemed to be much harder to fill. She used the steamed buns to dip the leftover juices in her bowl until she was mostly satiated.
Zera was content hearing Raze's compliment. It seems her new husband had a sweet mouth. She was a little excited about this marriage. She kept seeing the benefits everywhere.
After dinner was finished Raze took the dishes to wash. Zera wanted to refuse but before she could Raze had already taken them in. There was some boiling water in the pot. She scooped out some not daring to trust that water she got from the well. She knew she couldn't change the thinking of the people that lived in this time, but if she was doing these things, then she would maintain her standard hygienic practices.
Zera watched as Raze dipped her hands into the still boiling water to wash the dishes and asked her worryingly.
"Are you OK? Why are you using the boiled water to wash?"
Raze replied earnestly.
"The water from the well comes straight from underground. I'm just worried there might be bugs or dirt mixed in that are too hard to see".
She couldn't talk about bacteria to someone who lived in a society that didn't even understand basic scientific knowledge. It wasn't as if she looked down on them. It would just be an arduous process to try and explain what is common sense to someone who learned an entirely different set than then.
Raze didn't know if Zera understood but she saw that she nodded her head, then started making small trips with a bucket of boiling water. Raze guessed she was filling up a bath, so she hurriedly finished and asked Zera to allow her to do it. Zera couldn't fight Raze and truthfully she was a little tired from the back and forth trips. This has become a daily struggle for her. She watched as Raze took full buckets in and was shocked when she said it was already full. It only took her half a dozen trips. It usually takes Zera two dozen. However after being urged by Raze she went in to the room. Raze had left her a spare bucket of boiled water just in case. She quickly stripped off, dipping her hand in to feel the temperature, it was perfect.
After enjoying the bath for a half hour, she didn't dare to stay any longer. Raze needed a bath too. Zera hurriedly got out and dressed. Whilst drying her hair she told Raze that she was done. Raze came in and started emptying and refilling the bath. Zera went out and waited in the sitting room. Unfortunately while Zera was bathing. The exhaustion of this day in a new world had finally creeped up on Raze. The moment she felt the comfort of the bath she fell straight asleep.
Zera had been listening to the movements outside, but after the initial water splashing she only heard silence. She called out to Raze but received no response. After failing to hear anything, she mustered up her courage to enter the room. In the wooden tub by the side of the room she saw Raze laying in the bathtub fast asleep. She blushed at the sight. She knew intersex women had everything, but she is absolutely certain Raze is an outlier everywhere. She walked over tremblingly. Her eyes couldn't help moving across the large and muscular woman in the bathtub. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't attracted to her, but there was also a hint of worry. She may have said she'd give Raze two children, but she hoped they wouldn't jump straight to bedroom matters.
She wanted it to be enjoyable, and she didn't know Raze well enough to be comfortable doing it yet. However the more pressing matter was to get Raze up before she caught a cold. So she quickly woke Raze up and told her to get dressed. She watched as Raze quickly dried herself. She didn't seem to be embarrassed that someone was watching her. Perhaps she was too tired, but she didn't forget to empty out the water again before coming to the bed.
