The story about Kuran Kaname's hardship, after finding himself in sunlight, bright, alive and meaningless. He has a daughter Ai Kuran and Zero's son Ren to take care of but are they the only ones he can live or die for?

Hikishima stood there after hearing Kaname's words, flushing red cheeks. Kaname felt blood dropping from his neck, he pressured it tight with his hand.
"I-I I hurt you." She said, she took a step back.
Suddenly Ai entered the room, furious, she tended to her father. A bite is considered something intimate, if she had done this solely for hunger her father would be left heartbroken.
"I-I didn't mean to."
"You did." Ai interrupted.
"Ai..." Ren said in a low tone.
"Ai, I'm fine." Kaname stated while Ren placed a bandage on his neck. Hikishima left the room in a hurry.
"Hana, wait! Please!"
"Dad stay still." Ren pleaded while pushing him to sit down to inspect the wound.
Ai went after Hana.
"Hikishima!" Hana stopped in her tracks.
"I really didn't mean t-"
Ai suddenly slapped her, surprised at her own sudden impulse she quickly stated "I'm-I'm so sorry I-".
Hana didn't know how to respond, on one hand she had sucked her father's blood plus...other things, and on the other she had confessed her feelings to Ai's current lover. Somehow, she thought, a slap was well deserved at least to make her come to her senses. She still felt herself drunk after their kiss.
Kaname was just walking down the stairs when he saw the scene.
"Ai! What are you- Hikishima. Wait!"
Ai stood in shock of her own actions while Hikishima was just exiting through the front door, she stopped.
He looked deep into her eyes and caressed her cheek. "You should stay. Please, you shouldn't be alone right now. Let me go with you." He whispered rapidly.
"You may get the vaccine if we talk later to Seiya. This doesn't have to be forever." Ren said, everyone relaxed their shoulders after hearing this.
"I should go. I still...want... you." Her eyes changed to a dark red. Ai touched her shoulder. "You should try to control yourself first. I'd like my father, alive, thank you."
Kaname held to his own face.

For her to say she wanted him meant surely she had not done this out of pure hunger. He felt joyous.
"Ai!"
"I'm not wrong." "She's not wrong." Ren added.
"Hm. We need to test you at school."
"At school?!"
"We'll be right there in case anything happens. Besides if she trully only desired Father she should be fine."
A silence surrounded them, Hikishima, red as a tomato.
