Harry
"Did you see the tweet from iHeart Radio this morning?", Flynn asked, pulling down the sleeves of his sweatshirt.
The tenth grader's nose and cheeks were red from the cold, while his long blonde hair was pulled back into a bun. His best friend Paul next to him didn't look much warmer and Harry knew exactly how they were feeling.
Today it was freezing cold outside, colder than usual but their Coach had still insisted on practice, even if it was cut short by an hour. Usually, Harry would run laps with his brother and Sam, but today the two boys got a hold of him first, so he joined them instead. To be fair, Harry hadn't talked to them much ever since they joined the team earlier this year, despite them haven gotten along so well back then.
"No, busy day. What was it about?", Harry replied, his breath thickening the white cloud around his mouth and face that his breath had already created.
"Updated line-up for the Winterball concert, and guess who has been added?", Flynn gave Harry a moment to think, though continued without getting an answer anyway just moments later, "Wolf Alice!"
"Shit, that's the band from your t-shirt the other day, ain't it?", even though Harry had been occupied with different things lately during practice, he did notice the new tour t-shirts the two of them had presented after their shower last week. Naturally, he had asked if they had been at a concert, and indeed they had. "What a coincidence, you two got tickets?"
"Nope sold out. But I wouldn't have enough money to travel to London anyway. Freaking sucks", Paul rolled his eyes.
"Don't be so negative, at least you got to see them already", Harry laughed.
On the other end, Paul seemed to think about it, before he continued "true, I give you that, but that's not why we kidnapped you". He gave Flynn who was in between them a nod.
"They're live streaming the whole thing and we were wondering if you wanna watch it with us? It would just be the three of us, somehow no one wants to join in" Flynn added.
Well, Harry knew it would be the weekend before Christmas when the concert would take place. So far, he didn't have anything else planned but he also didn't wanna be that graduating guy that hung out with the younger grades.
That wasn't cool.
Gosh, that was the Liam in him talking again.
"I'll think about it, and then text ya once I know", Harry replied and let the two of them finish their last warm-up round by themselves and let himself fall back to the group of his twin.
Liam wore the same Hoodie as his brother, just a different colored sweatpant set them apart. Next to him were Michael and Sam though once the two noticed Harry, they sprinted forward to give him and Liam some space.
They jogged together, no one saying anything for a moment. There was only the hard snow scrunching under their feet and the distant conversations of their teammates. With Harry spending more time with his "new" circle of friends, the brothers' friendship had been suffering. For a while, Harry had enjoyed the independency, having the ability to spend time with his crush (the person he had quite frankly fallen in love with) and build up new connections with other people from his grade, including Niall. But now, he did miss the conversations with Liam. He missed how they had to make sure to wash their clothes in time to be able to match the next day, their endless conversations after school and he missed their blind trust in one another, something that was especially noticeable during both baseball and their day-to-day life.
Harry wanted both, Louis and the things that came along with him, and Liam, his best friend since he could remember to be a part of his life, "hey"
"Hey", Liam kept his eyes on the tracks in front of them.
