Harry

Louis stayed the night over.

They had packed up all their things late into the night, removed the nail polish, and climbed into Harry's bed. It had taken Harry a couple of tries for each design to be happy with the outcome but now he was confident that it was only a matter of time until he'd be acing those patterns. He was too anxious to take pictures of the outcome, just in case, someone was to see them. So he did his best to remember each step to recreate for the next time.

Neither of them had checked the time when they finally fell asleep, however, it must've been way past three.

And in the morning, Harry woke up with a nose poking the back of his head, a hand on his left side and a chest cuddled to his back. The sun was just about to rise, but Harry was brightly awake in an instant.

He pulled their blanket higher up, letting himself sink deeper into the cuddle. This was new, something he could definitely get used to.

A quick check of his phone display told him it was about 7am. No one from his family would be awake yet, his parents didn't have work so they'd be using their chance of sleeping in and Liam wasn't one to get up at a time before it hit double digits on non-school days.

Therefore Harry decided not to worry about someone knocking on his door, to forget about yesterday morning, and simply enjoy the time with his boyfriend. There was plenty of time for him to worry about everything later.

"Hm, you awake?", Louis' voice was quiet, muffled by talking into Harry's curls.

Harry turned off his phone, placing it back onto his nightstand, a slight smile on his lips, "yeah, didn't mean to wake you.."

"You didn't", Louis took his hand off Harry's side and let it slip further up to place it on the chest, pulling him closer, "just don't you dare to leave, it's cold"

It indeed was cold. The window was open and the balcony door wasn't properly closed as Harry now discovered, "where's my other blanket?", he asked and did loosen the grip around him to check the rest of the bed. Louis let out a murmur, rolling onto his back, eyes closed again.

The other blanket had crumbled down by their feet. Harry unfolded it back over them, before falling back onto Louis and letting himself slide down on his shoulder until his head hit the pillow again.

"Better?", he giggled.

"Barely, I said don't leave"

"I'm here now", Harry cuddled back onto him, both facing the ceiling, "can I ask you something?"

Louis pulled the blankets up even further, "sure, as long as you now stay where you are"

"I will... Your ex-boyfriend and you, why did you two break up?"

There were many things Harry didn't know about Louis. He did know that he liked football, that his favorite color was red, that he liked watching movies especially if it was rainy outside, and that his favorite food of all time was anything that included pasta. Louis had an interesting character. A natural charm, he was funny, helpful, and understanding. An asshole too if he wanted to be, Harry could never forget about his first impression of him. But there was more to Louis as a person. He had a background. He had lived an entire life without Harry and now that he was thinking about it, Harry didn't know too much about Louis' past in detail.

Yes, he knew about his success in sports, that he had acceptable grades and divorced parents. However, Louis thus far had kept things vague when it came to his past relationships as well as friendships. Sometimes Harry wondered if Louis ever had them. It sounded harsh, but he had barely heard Louis talk about any kind of friends from his old school.
