StormStone kept pestering StarlingClaw about a large rabbit should be devoured by a great cat. Though StarlingClaw knew he was talking about himself.
"StormStone, just eat the mouse, there aren't any rabbits around." StarlingClaw gave StormStone a uninterested look.
"Fine! But next time, bring a rabbit!" StormStone rasped.
"Don't mind him, at least you don't share the same den with him, he keeps talking how glory he was, before he retired." LaurelBarry teased as she took a couple of swift bites into her mouse.
"It's fine, just quite annoying than I thought." StarlingClaw teased.
LaurelBarry laughed and focused on a small kit.
"CloudKit! Did you know I'm your grandmother? SwanLeap is your mother's brother, and SootStream is- Wait, where is SootStream, I haven't seen him for a bit." LaurelBarry paused.
"SootStream always go out of the camp before every cat wakes up, he acts like no cat notices." LilyStream joined in the conversation.
"Weird, I never heard him ever doing such a thing." LaurelBarry spoke in a cautious voice.
"Tomorrow, I'll follow him, surely he's hiding something." StarlingClaw insisted.
"Alright, though you two should get to your dens." LaurelBarry advised.
StarlingClaw nodded, and carefully stepped into the moss bedding, wondering what was SootStream doing?
The sun rose, StarlingClaw didn't want to visit, he had other things to do than talk. He lay in the bedding lifeless, waiting for SootStream.
Then, the dark figure awoke and loomed outside to the entrance, and StarlingClaw followed.
Wind was bristling, and a endless loudness. And StarlingClaw could only think of one thing.
What is the mystery of SootStream, that he will find out soon enough.
"SootStream!" A voice was heard from all this wind. He couldn't recognize it, but the scent was clear of TideClan.
"RiverThorn! How's TideClan?" SootStream ran out to the other side of the border. StarlingClaw waited, he didn't need to confront them. Even he hated every second of seeing SootStream with a rival, he even remembered SnowCloud. SootStream deserved to be exiled.
StarlingClaw ran and ran till he got to camp. Cats surrounded him, where was he? Where was SootStream? Was he in danger?
"SootStream is a traitor to this clan, he crossed the border and met with a TideClan warrior, you may even consider them as mates!" StarlingClaw yowled with anger in his voice, as the clan whispered. SootStream meeting with a rival? Why? No cat knew. But we all knew, SootStream won't stay long in ThornClan.
