Chohae's jaw dropped as her eyes were locked on the boy's ones.
At that moment, both of their eyes made, which made both of them secretly blush. They were now facing each other.
The shorter one looking at the tallest. She was looking up while he was looking down. She couldn't believe the person she was looking at.
"Hi Xinxin" the oldest, Chenle said
"Hi" she simply replied.
She also greeted the other one.
The two youngest were both silent and shy. Chohae's personality wasn't the shy kind but she was shy. The boy was shy as he always is.
Park Jisung was in front of her.
THE Park Jisung she's been talking, dreaming and thinking for years in front of her.
She wasn't dreaming. It was reality. He was really in front of her and his eyes were on hers.
"This is Chohae. Yang Chohae. She came to visit me for my summer break" Xinxin smiled
"Oh, nice to meet you Chohae. You might already know who we are but we'll still introduce ourselves. I'm Zhong Chenle and this is Park Jisung" he said with a soft smile which made her feel comfortable.
The youngest Chohae had so many things to say to her best friend, but she remained silent. Jisung also felt the same.
At his side, when his eyes first met hers, he felt something he never felt before. He only knew that he had to approach her and at least have her number or become friends with her.
The real thing is that he didn't want to lose her even if they just met each other.
They were now sitting on a couch separately.
One with the girls and the other one with the boys. It could also have been one with the oldest and the other one with the youngest, but it would just make everything awkward and embarrassing.
The fully Chinese were the only ones talking, while the Korean ones were looking at the ground.
"So, Chohae, could you talk about yourself?" the unembarrassed one said which made both the youngest look at each other
"Well, I was born and raised in Korea until my family moved here, in Shanghai, for work. I am half Korean and half Chinese which makes me fluent in both languages adding the other languages I'm learning" she replied which caught Jisung's attention
"How old are you?" he finally managed to ask.
He took all his courage to ask this simple question.
"We have the same age, but you're older than me by 8 months"
"Well that's good to know that Jisung won't be the youngest anymore" Chenle said as he
chuckled.
The atmosphere wasn't awkward anymore which made all 4 young adults feel more comfortable around each other.
"Chenle It's time to eat. Invite your friends to come" his mother said from the kitchen.
"I guess that means that we're all friends" he said while chuckling again.
They all went to the kitchen together.
"Umm Chohae could we become friends? I know it sounds childish but could we?" Jisung suddenly asked her.
"Of course, we can don't worry and from what Misses Zhong said we are already"
She had a very soft smile on her face. He couldn't handle himself but smile.
"They're gone. How will we eat now?"
Before she asked him that question, they stopped walking while the two others continued their way to the kitchen.
"Don't worry, I know here it is. Follow me, my friend"
Both of them had large smiles on their faces. As for Jisung, he was one step closer to getting her number and not losing her.
