The next morning, Chohae woke up because of the sound of her phone's notification. She took her phone to see what could have possibly happened.
"Dating rumours about NCT's Park Jisung dating a famous trainee Choi Eunji" was the first thing she saw when she opened her phone.
Out of curiosity, she clicked on it without noticing that she missed many texts from her boyfriend Jisung.
She looked at the article and precisely the 'proof' and her heartbeat dropped. She couldn't believe what she just saw.
"Was he cheating on me the whole time?" she asked herself as a tear dropped from her eye.
She then decided to open the texts Jisung had sent her. She didn't want to open them, but she had no choice but to do it.

With all the time she spent with him, she knew he wasn't lying.
Once, they exchanged phones for a day to prove their loyalty to each other. They could do everything they wanted on each other's phones.
She remembered that he didn't have someone called Eunji or someone with a random name as a contact name. She trusted her boyfriend.
Her mind was full of negative and hopeful thoughts. She knew she had to take a break.
But a break from what or even from who?
A break from him, Park Jisung.
She had to take some time for herself to think about everything that just had happened in her life.
Even more, tears started falling from both of her eyes.
She took her courage and texted him.

As she typed those words, she cried even harder.
Memories from all the good times she spent with him came back.
She didn't want to end their unique relationship.

She just needed a break for herself.
She was doing it for her own good and for her mental health. She kept away from her phone and social media. She shut down her phone and didn't even wait for his reply. She also had her studies to focus on.
She spent the rest of the day crying, spacing out, reading, thinking and studying. She looked depressed but she wasn't.

He started overthinking himself.
"Did I do something wrong?" he kept on asking himself.
Tears began falling one by one.
What else could he do?
The one and only answer was to wait. He took his phone and his courage to reply to her.
