Lyrics of your music blasted throughout your Walkman. You held the handles of your bike as you walked behind the school.
You were meeting Eddie in the forest behind the building. His request of course. You headed down the trail, the pine and sticks beneath your feet.
You approach the open area where the rusty metal picnic table sat. You immediately caught sight of Eddie and a familiar cheerleader.
You gulp down the venom boiling in your stomach. "Hey Munson, Chrissy," you wave awkwardly.
"Oh! Hi y/n," she smiled. Her ginger ponytail swayed with her head movements.
"Hey! Just on time, unfortunately," Eddie pretends to roll his eyes. Chrissy chuckled and you nervously laughed.
"Well, I'll be leaving. I told Chance that I'd help him and Jase surprise Andy. Bye!" Chrissy informed you both. She stood up from the wooden table and then waved to Eddie before starting back towards the school.
You glance back as she walked by. Venom in your eyes when you stare at the ginger. You dropped your bike once she was out of sight. You exhaled and sigh.
It's been like that lately. Every time you see Chrissy or she gets near Eddie, you just get so toxic. You didn't know why. You considered Eddie a friend now, but you would never tell him that.
