- Rivals/semi-enemies(?) to lovers

Dream was all for sportsmanship, in fact he loved the idea of it. He knows that even though he has to go against others, he's able to have a possible bond with them in some way and he could appreciate their plays and when they did something cool. That sportsmanship can also be very hard to act on, especially when he finds himself very anti-sportsman with his rival, George, who happens to be on the same team as him. George makes it his goal to annoy Dream the best he can, and more times than the blonde is happy with, it works

"He's such an idiot" Dream mumbled closing his locker

"You just need to tell him to stop or something" Sapnap dragged himself behind the other

"Yeah, I've tried. The last time I did that, it ended in him telling me I am 'pussying out'...I don't even know what I was pussying out of"

"Pussying out of...his...teasing?" Sapnap wondered "Like...he thinks you can't handle what he has to say so he mocks you for it"

"He's so infuriating. If I was the coach, I'd kick him off the team immediately"

A scoff was heard behind the two "Yeah well you're not the coach..." they turned to be met with a smirking face that reeked of mischief "...so why don't you stop complaining and turn up to practice like you're supposed to, otherwise you'll stay benched"

"What is your problem?" Dream whisper shouted

"You. You're obnoxious and egotistical...someone needs to knock you down a peg" with that, the shorter glared into Dream's eyes as he marched past them towards the cafeteria

"See" Dream mumbled "Infuriating"

"I feel the heat of rage emitting from your body" Sapnap spoke in a sarcastic tone "You just need to ignore him dude, the attention you give him is what keeps him talking shit"

"It's not that easy Sap..."

"Dream!" The voice of the coach called from down the corridor "I need to speak to you, get to my office"

"Uh...yeah sure" Dream held a thumbs up and then turned to Sapnap "Save me a seat at our usual table"

"Roger that" Sapnap departed from Dream's side to seek out where their friends were

Dream would be lying if he said he wasn't slightly scared of seeing the coach. After all, he has been missing practices. That doesn't mean he hasn't been practicing in his own time — he just didn't see the point in joining when he's on the bench

The air of the coach's office felt suffocating. The room was small and there were no windows adding to the stuffiness, Dream almost felt claustrophobic. He sat down in the chair opposite where the coach was sat, her gaze was stern
The best way to describe the coach of the soccer team had to be Sue Sylvester from Glee. She had a scheming, mean, rude, and essentially evil personality. She would fight for her right to get what she wants. And she was far from afraid about kicking players off the team

She raised an eyebrow "Look over there Dream" she pointed at a trophy case "What do you see?"

"...Trophies?" Dream's eyes wandered back and forth between the tall woman and the case

"Yep. They're trophies" she stood up and walked towards them "How do you think we got these trophies"

"By winning soccer games"

"Exactly. See you're not so stupid when you use your head. Now, how many of those winning games have you been in?"

"Two" Dream mumbled
