- Strangers to lovers

"George, it's not temporary...it's permanent" George's mother called from the kitchen

"I wish it was temporary" he mumbled

"Just...stop complaining, please" she sighed "Go unpack your stuff"

George huffed as he stood up from the sofa. He left the house to get the last of his stuff which was placed on the grass

"Oi doofus, your stuff is there" his sister spoke in a strained voice as she picked a box up

"Yeah I can see that, thank you" George rolled his eyes sarcastically

The brunette jogged down the steps towards the grass, as he was about to pick up a box he spotted a group of six boys looking at him from over the fence next door to him. He made eye contact with the tallest - a black haired, muscular, stern looking guy

He looked among the others who were staring back at him like he was a newly discovered fish in a tank. The others consisted of different heights, sizes and facial expressions. One guy who caught his eye was a tall, blonde, unbothered looking guy

"Can I help you?" George finally asked

"Not really" the tallest mumbled "Just looking"

"...It's a bit weird though" George mumbled back

"What'd you say shortie?" He raised his voice

"Ha shortie" his sister chuckled from behind

George turned to face her "Piss off will you" he turned back "If you don't mind...I'll be on my way"

He could feel eyes on him as he picked up and moved the boxes in the house, when he was on his last two he noticed they had gone to the other side of the garden they were in - they looked to be playing soccer

When George was finished with moving the boxes and unpacking his stuff his mother had suggested they all went to explore the area and meet new people

"Mum I'm so tired" George groaned slipping his shoes on

"No complaining, you'll be okay" she smiled

Walking out of the house he saw there were now only three people in the garden next door to him - the tall blonde, a slightly shorter guy with a white bandana clinging to his forehead and a short black haired boy with a beanie over his hair

'How is he wearing that in this heat...' George thought to himself

George made it his mission to make it past the neighbours house as quick as he could - still not knowing who it actually belongs to. His mother took her time looking at all the houses and saying 'hello' to people or asking how their days are

He just wanted to go to bed

"I can't believe we're stuck here" Millie mumbled from beside George

"I know...but it's for dad's job so we kinda have to" he mumbled back

"I already know I'm going to hate it here"

"Same..."

The afternoon had left and soon came the evening, the sun just going behind the houses they had walked past before. The street was quieter than it was before

Passing the house next to theirs, George noticed now only two remained. The blonde one and the bandana guy. He came to the conclusion that today wouldn't be the day he would find out who his new neighbour is, he followed his family into the house making swift eye contact with the blonde - who wasn't paying attention to his friend in front of him
