LAST CHAPTER AND STORY ON THIS APP!
A/N - Okay, so, a quick announcement I guess. I've also posted this on AO3 under an alternative username (that I'll post in my bio), and there is a high chance that I'm going to move over to that platform since I haven't used Wattpad in a while - unless it's posting chapters. It's been really nice over here, but honestly, AO3 has the best system for fanfic reading and posting, so if you already don't I encourage you to use it also!
Thank you so much for the support on Runaway, and also this one-shot book, I genuinely wouldn't be writing without the likes and comments you all leave, so thank you. And I hope to see you over at AO3!
Anyway, enjoy some miscommunication, lots of fluff, and clingy George as a send-off!
Established relationship
Having a full and busy schedule isn't something new for Dream. Monday to Friday he's at the merch warehouse, being online for meetings, being in person for meetings, and working on music, videos, and ideas for more music and more videos.
It's a lot for him to juggle.
And even though he knows his brain needs a break, he doesn't give it one. He's determined to get his tasks done. He gets them done for the two he cares for the most - George and Sapnap. He loves them both, in very different ways.
He loves Sapnap to the extent of supportive hugs when the weeks are stressful, sitting close to each other when they're watching football, and the two backing each other up when George gets too cocky with arguments. He'd feel lost without his best friend.
And then George, Dream loves George in different ways. George locks himself away most of the time when stressed, so hugs are out of the question, he doesn't like American football so he sits out on game days and he's on his own in playful arguments.
So, instead, Dream professes his love to his boyfriend through soft whispers after waking up, through making a hot breakfast when the days are too cold for the brunette to handle, through gentle and random kisses throughout the day, and just by being present.
George shows his love for Dream in very different and more cryptic ways. But through the years of Dream knowing him, and with the months of living in the same home as each other. The blonde has become accustomed to his secret taps, his head bumps and nuzzles, and his quiet grunts when he's too tired to voice words.
Dream knows that George loves him, even if it seems hard for the other to show.
One particular day, Dream had a plan for a task-filled day. He had an online meeting, a video to finish editing, errands to run, and then he had an in-person meeting to talk about music.
The first meeting wasn't eventful. George and Sapnap were there too, but it seemed to be only Dream paying attention since he caught every time George or Sapnap had to cover their mouths or turn their cameras off to stop themselves from laughing. Dream didn't know what the two were laughing about, he'd have to ask them about it later.
Editing was tedious to complete. The constant back and forth of taking clips out, adding them back in, reducing volume, increasing volume. He was getting frustrated.
But what made the constancy worth it, was being able to listen back to George's chuckles, giggles, laughs, his voice in general. The way any word he uttered caused his heart to flutter, made him feel almost pathetic, but he knows George would find his behaviour sweet and that drives the deprecating thoughts aside.
A few minutes after he finished editing, a soft knock sounded on the office door, what followed was brown hair and matching round eyes.
"Hey." Dream called sitting back in his chair.

FanfictionWhat the title says :) This was a spontaneous idea I decided I'd work on during a random Wednesday afternoon Any tw/cw's will be tagged at the top of the chapters but there honestly shouldn't be any. I love fluff and don't see enough of it Status:...
