🌺NEW YEAR'S EVE: EVENING
ANYA PEREZ: "How do I look, Angie?" I asked our house elf as I stood in front of the mirror
"Angelina thinks Ms. Anya looks beautiful!"
I smiled at her through the mirror, Aww, thank you, hun."
"Oh! Angelina needs to do one more thing before you're good to go."
She grabs a tall stool from the kitchen and places it behind me, then step up to move my hair to the side to put my gold "A" initial necklace on me.
My eyes widened when I realized I had taken off my necklace before I got in the shower.
"Oh, I forgot about that! Thanks, Angie."
She stepped off the stool and took a bow,
"Of course! Have a great time tonight, Ms. Anya!"
She walks off afterward, leaving me alone in the corridor. I take another look in the mirror to observe my outfit.
I wore a dark green satin dress with a pair of black heels.
My hair was down and nicely straightened, and I wore minimal makeup.
After feeling confident with myself, I went to the closet and grabbed my black trench coat, and put it on as my parents are just coming down the stairs.
"Oh! You look gorgeous, Anya!" I heard my mother say
I return a smile to her, "Thanks, ma."
"I didn't think you'd be ready this fast." My father says, surprisingly
"Well, yeah, because I wanna get this over with."
My mother raised a brow in teasingly manner when she realized there was something behind that reason.
"Ohh? Really?"
"Mhm,"
"Oh, okay, don't worry, we won't be there too long. We'll stay for like an hour or two."
