~Third P.O.V~

The sweet sound of jazz music played from the band as Jeongguk and his fiancè sat and ate dinner. It was quiet and awkward because his finance looked relatively nervous and uneasy, and he kept on fidgeting, which annoyed Jeongukk to the point he had to ask.

"What's the matter?" He set his cutlery down, giving his fiance his undivided attention.

"It's about Ania," he said as he looked at Jeongukk's puzzled expression. Jeongguk was confused because he didn't know what the girl had to do with his fiance's uneasiness.

"She's pregnant," he said with guilt hidden behind his voice.

"And? "it's not like it's yours, right?" Jeongguk stated, but it came out more like a question, to which he was rewarded with silence.

"Omg! "it is yours," he remarked in disbelief as he looked at the male, who nodded silently. "You knocked up a fucking nineteen-year-old!" he slammed his hands on the table angrily.

"How long?" he questioned. "It has been a few months now," the other stated, no longer feeling guilty. Without a response, Jeongguk got up, tossed the ring at the confused male, and afterward stormed out of the restaurant, ignoring the calls of his name.

"That fucker, how could he," he articulated, mumbling incoherent words as he walked along the sidewalk; screw him for cheating, a whimper was heard, causing Jeongguk to snap from his vicious thoughts.

"Shit, what was that?" He whispered to no one in particular as he took in the dark surroundings. He heard another whimper coming from the alley and, as a veterinarian, he recognized that it was the sound of an animal (can they do this?). He walked into the alley only to come across what appeared to be a dog.

"Aw, you poor thing, how long have you been here?" he asked himself as he watched the shivering animal.

"I guess they abandoned you too, huh," he chuckled sadly to himself, feeling bad that the poor animal had to go through all this; he could see his fur glistening, which he assumed to be blood, Poor thing.

"I'll just take you with me," he said as he caressed the soft fur, checking if the animal was doing fine. Purring under the comforting touches and whining slightly, the animal turned into a puddle at the warm embrace, his mind too blurry to recognize anything. Looking at the trembling animal, Jeongguk decided to take it to his house.

~Time skip~

Jeongguk arrived at his house with a bit of a struggle as he could hardly manage the animal as it was almost the size of him (Jeongguk). Fortunately, the animal regains consciousness during his struggle to get into the house now the animal lazily follows behind him. He opened the door, intending to go straight to bed because he was mentally and physically exhausted. Stripping from his attire Jeongguk lazily swayed to the bedroom and plopped himself down on the dusty mattress.

Not wanting the blooded animal on his bed, he brought it to the bathroom and cleaned the animal and himself, but what surprised him was that there were hardly any wounds on the animal except for some tiny cuts here and there. He didn't dwell though, seeing as how the animal was extremely weak and he was also tired.

The place is a little dusty cause he hasn't been here since his now ex-fiance proposed to him a few months ago. He was glad he didn't follow his aunt and sell the house. After cleaning the mattress and changing the bedding, he sat down and made a mental note to go pick up his belongings from his ex's place and to call his besties and tell them.

"Come here, pup," he patted the vacant space on the bed, inviting the animal to lie with him. The wolf obliged and immediately fell into a deep slumber from being too weak and the ample amount of wolves bane in his system. Jeongguk chuckled and joined the animal in sleep.
