Alyssa looked at the girl in front of her. Sam looked so confident and strong, it's like nothing's bothering her at all. Of course, she knows it's just a facade. The talk they had almost a month ago made her get to know Sam in the deepest way possible.
They both act like they're just friends and did not really talk about their feelings with each other again as if it didn't happen. But she knows that everytime she looks at Sam's eyes, the longing and love is there.
She's willing to wait for Sam, until the girl's heart is ready for another chapter in their lives. She doesn't mind how long it'll take.
"baka matunaw yan kakatitig mo." rinig niyang sabi ni Alexa.
She turned to look at the girl and shook her head.
"d naman siguro." she replied with a smile.
There was silence at the moment.
"how long do you think you'll be able to wait for Sam, Ly?" the girl asks after awhile.
"until she's ready." she answered.
"what if she'll never be ready?" Alexa asks.
She thought about it for awhile.
Until she looked at Alexa and smiled, "then I'd still stay and love her without expecting anything in return. what I have with her is the purest form of love I'm able to experience with someone, it can never be forgotten. I'll love her in ways only I know about. I'd be contented being just her friend if it meant being able to see her genuinely happy and worry free." she said.
Alexa smiled and nodded.
If loving her means letting her let go of what she feels for me for her not to fear anything anymore, then I'd gladly wish for it to happen.
