.Rory's Dance.

"Your Grandfather called last night and told me to let you know he is bringing you back something very special from Prague" Grandma says to us. 

"Wow, Prague. How amazing is it that he's going to Prague?" Rory says in astonishment. 

"It suppose to be lovely, very dramatic castles everywhere" Grandma says.

"Did you know that the cell that Vaclav Havel was held in is now a hostel" Rory recalls a fact. "You can stay there for like 50 dollars a night. Hey maybe on our big trip to Europe, we could go to Prague and stay in his cell" She suggests. 

"Absolutely. Then we should go to Turkey and stay in that place from Midnight Express" Mom says as she picks at her food. 

"Lorelai what are you doing?" Grandma asks. 

"Getting rid of the avocado" Mom says. 

"Since when do you not like avocado?" Grandma asks her. 

"Since the day I said "Gross what is this?" and you said "Avocado" Mom tells her. 

"I'm focusing on you two now" Grandma says sighing at her daughter. "Tell me all about the Chilton formal next week" 

"There's a formal?" Mom perks up wondering why she wasn't made aware of this. 

"How do you know about the formal?" Rory asks. 

"Yeah. How do you know about the formal?" Mom questions why her mother knows but not her. 

"I read my Chilton newsletter" She says. 

"Since when do you get a Chilton newsletter?" Mom asks. 

"Well, as a major contributor to the twin's education, I figured I have the right to ask for a newsletter to be sent to my house" Grandma says getting up to retrieve her newsletter. 

"Just encase you forgot about the money you borrowed let me bring it up again" I mumble at how Grandma stills rubs that in mom's face. Rory elbows me. 

"Are you serious?" Mom asks her. 

"And it's a good thing too, since you don't bother to read yours. One of us should be up to date on the going's on of the twins school" Grandma says in an obvious condescending manner. 

"Hey mom, I read my newsletter" Mom insists. 

"You did?"

"That's right"

"What was the picture on the cover?" She asks. 

"I-it was a picture of a really rich kid in plaid" Mom guesses the most obvious thing. 

"It was a spotted owl" Grandma informs her. 

"In plaid" Mom adds. 

"The owls are endangered and Chilton is taking donations to help them. You two gave a very nice one, in case your interested" Grandma tells us. 

"Mom, don't be making donations on the twin's behalf. I'll do that" She says. 

"How can you do that when you don't bother to read your newsletter?" Grandma asks her. 

"I read the newsletter" Mom reiterates. 

"You didn't know they where taking donations" Grandma points out. 

"It's a private school they're always taking donations. They teach a class in it. I'll get them next time"

"Well what about the owls?" Grandma asks.
