"It must be fate."

It all comes flooding back to me, all the times I've seen him on the bus, the times I've drowned in those deep pools of blue that are his eyes and all the times that I've seen him looking at me. He's perfect. His blonde hair tousled and soft-looking.
I know he's looked at me before and as I stand there looking at him I feel a bubbling of hope in the pit of my stomach. He turns around but before I have the time to turn the other way and avoid his gaze which makes me more nervous than anything I've ever experienced, he looks into my eyes and smiles. His smile makes me feel things that Jake never could, not even with his kisses. I manage to smile back and I see his gaze drop, down to my lips. I long to do the same but my mum calls me over to check-in.

My mind goes back to a few weeks ago, when I was in a bookstore.

I stand looking at the jet black shelves, deciding on a book. I hear footsteps behind me and turn around. Sam. What is he doing here?  How did he get here?

"Looking for a book?" I her him ask.

"Yeah." I manage to croak out.

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good. How about Harry Potter?" He grins.

Finding my voice, I answer"Read them all, my favourite series by far."

"What's your favourite book?"

"Deathly Hallows, yours?" I say, surprised by my ability to form coherent words, let alone sentences.

"Order of the Phoenix. Favourite movie?"

"Order of the Phoenix, yours?"

"Goblet of Fire." He grins, before saying, "Hunger Games?"

"Read them too, love them." I answer, returning my eyes to the shelves.

"Hmmm," Sam says, his voice sending shivers through my spine, his eyes scanning the shelves for an original title,"How about Landline?"

"If you had a second chance at love, would you make the same call?" I read off of the cover.

"Well, I mean, I probably would have talked to you- Wait what are you laughing at?" He asks, noticing that I'm biting back a laugh.

"It wasn't a question, it's on the cover. But I'll go with this one, thanks. Mischief managed." I say, reaching for the book and walking away.

It was my second favourite experience in a bookstore, the first being when I bought the whole Harry Potter series.

As I walk to the check-in desk he walks away from it. We pass each other and his shoulder brushes mine leaving me shaking.

Rixanah asks, "Who was that?" And wiggles her eyebrows.

"I'll tell you in our room." I say not wanting my mum to overhear.

Once we finally check-in, I start walking up the stairs but stop when I see the boy in red standing outside the room opposite to mine and Rixanah's. He's staying here?

I start walking again and as I stop in front of my room, I hear him whisper,"Hi." His voice sending a shiver down my spine.

"Hi." I barely manage to whisper back.

"It must be fate that brought us together, I mean we keep seeing each other." he whispers. So he's noticed me? Does he feel the same way I do? Do I affect him as much as he affects me?

I can hear Rixanah struggling with the lock but before I turn around to help I whisper back "Yeah I guess so."

He smiles and I smile back, he opens his mouth to say something but before he has the chance to speak, Rixanah cuts him off shouting, "Will you help me with the bloody lock already?"

I turn around and twist the key to the right, opening the door. Rixanah stares at me and asks,"How did you do that?"

I start laughing and walk into our room. I flop down onto my bed. I close my eyes, still tired after the journey.

"Who was that?" I hear Rixanah say. I open my eyes to find her face inches above mine. I scream but start laughing as soon as I sit up.

I tell her the whole story, from the first time I saw the boy in red.

Later that day we go to the hotel restaurant and as I queue up I see the boy in red five places in front. My heart starts thumping and my palms sweat. As I go up to the buffet all the people separating me and the boy in red AKA Sahara (because he's so much hotter then the Sahara desert) decide to leave the line. I start walking further into the buffet and I stare at all the food, suddenly I hit something and realise that it's Sahara's shoulder.

I look up into his eyes and manage to croak out "I'm... I'm sorry."

"It's okay." He smiles and a glint appears in his eyes. I smile back and stare into those pools of deep blue. We stand there and I hear Rixanah calling out my name. I break the eye contact and follow Rixanah.

"Bye, see you around." I hear him say huskily.

I look over my shoulder and say "Bye, see you." Does he really want to see me again? Does he like me?

We sit at our table and after breakfast we decide to go to the beach. Me and Rixanah run up to our room to grab sunglasses, sun cream and some snacks for later.

We meet my mum down at the beach. She decides to sit on the mat and look after out stuff whilst me and Rixanah go to swim. We step into the turquoise blue water and keep walking until the water flaps around our thighs. We push off the sand and start swimming. For hours we swim up and down the beach, when we finally get tired we decide to head back to the hotel room. I pull my shorts on and I follow Rixanah back to the hotel.

As we enter the glamorous hotel lobby with high ceilings and long diamond chandeliers I can't help but think of Sahara. We trudge up the stairs and I see my mum searching for the room key.

"Mum is everything okay?" I ask.

"I can't seem to find the keys." She says furrowing her eyebrows.

She runs down to the reception and I start shivering from the cold, my wet bikini sticking to my skin.

I hear a door open and find Sahara standing in his doorway.

"Is everything okay?" He asks.

"We can't find our hotel key." I answer.

"You look cold. Do you want to come to my room?" I hear that husky voice ask making my heart race.
