“Don't forget to tell your parents that we will have a meeting tomorrow, okay? I need all your parents tomorrow,” Mrs. Reyes said, our teacher.

“Yes!” sabay-sabay naming sagot.

My yaya Lora is waiting outside to pick me up. This is my daily routine. Going to school with yaya and going back home from school with yaya again. My parents? They are busy with their works every day.

“Hello baby Mifi, how's your day?” My yaya always asked me this question every time I'm going out of school.

“I'm not a baby anymore, yaya. And about how's my day was, it was fine. My teacher said that parents need to be at school tomorrow.” I said while walking side by side with yaya Lora. She's holding my hands in her left and holding my bag in her right hand.

“Oh...sige. Ako na lang ang pupunta bukas. Ano ba raw oras?” Natigilan ako sa paglalakad at tumingala kay Yaya.

“Why you? Teacher said parents, you're not my parents, right?”

“A-ah...o-oo. Kaya lang kasi, alam mo naman na laging busy sina Ma'am kaya baka hindi sila makapunta,” sagot ni nito. Napayuko na lamang ako at nagtuloy sa paglalakad.

I wonder why my parents never attended any of my school activities. We have never seen each other often, I can't remember when was the last time they'd asked me how my day was. Until I've got used to it.

But, there's no one. The house is quite as always, busy maids cleaning and cooking that I've always seen.

I feel sad even though I'm used to this kind of situation. I'm always hoping that one day, like we used before; they're waiting for me to get back from school and listened to my non-stop story. Furthermore, I missed how excited they are everytime I went back with stump of star in my hand. The proud faces of them made my confidence.

I'm only eight year old, and I felt my parent's love and support for a short period of time. How I wish I can get back to those time, and live there forever.

“Mom, Dad. My teacher said, parents are needed for meeting today. You're coming, right?” nakangiti pa ako habang naghihintay ng kanilang sagot.

“I'm sorry, anak. Si Yaya Lora na lang ang pupunta, I need to do some works kasi. Okay?” Mommy said. My smile slowly fade for what I heard.

“Dad?”

“I have important things to do, Mifi. I need to meet some important people today.”

“Important people, huh?” mom said. I don't know why mom's reaction like that. I am too innocent to asked but I felt something that they are fighting again.

“Stop being sarcastic in front of our daughter,”

“Then stop doing stupid things behind us!”

“Are you fighting again?” They didn't answer me. Bagkus ay nagtitigan lamang sila bago sabay na tinalikuran ang isa't-isa.

What's with the adult? What's wrong with them? They always fighting in front of me.
