the next morning sonic was exploring the castle alone as the kings left him in the bedroom saying that they would be back later because they had a meeting to go to and said if he can wait for his new maid to get him ready for the day and give him a tour more around the castle but sonic had other ideas.
sonic got up and dress himself then took off before she could get there as he wanted to explore without others carrying him around.
sonic: WHOHOO YEA!
sonic was having a blast as he ran in his super speed and zip thought corner to corner in the hallways with all the servant's wondering what was the blue streak passing them making sonic laugh at their confusion but soon stop as he jump up the large staircase railing and skated down it only to jump down making scrouge that was holding some paperwork drop them from fright as the sudden appearance of the teen with a happy smile on his face.
sonic: good morning scrouge how are you
scrouge: AH!...prince Maurice what the heck are you doing and why are you not with your servant
sonic: sorry I didn't mean to scare here let me help
scrouge: oh no that not necessary
sonic ignored him and started to pick them up and notice that some of them was the same contract that he saw in the library yesterday but carry on picking them up and passing them to scrouge asking what they were for.
scrouge: oh there just for today meeting my young prince but more importantly where is your maid that was assign to you?
sonic: umm...she went to...the bathroom yea and I said I would meet them down here till they were done 😇
he said while looking all innocent
scrouge knew the teen was making a lie but then went with it as he told the young prince goodbye leaving sonic to carry on with his exploring as he was thinking why scrouge would have the paperwork that he saw in the room.
sonic though he would ask the three kings later as he manage to find himself in the royal kichen with all the cooks busy to not realises he was there as he walk around and smell the fresh bread that just came out of the oven.
sonic: wow that smell great
the cook then notice sonic as he said that and bow to him
sonic: hey guys no need to bow I'm just looking around I hope you don't mind
a rabbit was the one to speak as she waves for all the rest of the cooks to carry on while she went up to sonic
'Good morning my dear young prince my name is vanilla and I'm the head cook of this kichen what can I do for you'
sonic: hi you can just call me sonic I would prefer it that way and also the meal you made yesterday was amazing the best thing I ever tasted
all the cooks and vanilla smile happily at the complement they got about their hard work as vanilla was lost for words
vanilla: why thank you your high I mean sonic I have never had such a wonderful complement from a royal such as yourself
sonic: why not you guys should be told that every day with how hard you lot work
vanilla: thank you I'm very touch.....would you like to try tasting the food we are making
sonic: I would love too!
sonic was having a blast as all the cooks started to get use to sonic and started talking to him normally as he gave them great reviews with everything, he was tasting making them very happy till sonic was full saying his goodbyes to them all as he went back to exploring again.
sonic spend the rest of the day helping all the servant's and getting to know them by using his speed to help clean the large garden from the dead leaves then grooming the horses with the caretakers then went to the stumbled in the library where he help arrange some shelfs and then left to stumble upon another large staircase on the other side of the castle with two large wooden doors being the only entrance's he could see but he did see however about 10 maids cleaning all the dirty shoe prints that was everywhere on the marble floor with a couple of them talking and moaning about the job.
'arrrh I hate this hallway so much why do we have to be the ones to clean it'
'I know what you mean it's so boring and time consuming that it is making even me fall asleep'
as sonic was hearing the two talking he went to them and ask if they need a hand making them bow to him but sonic was quick to tell them not to
'My dear prince how can we let you a royal blood to scrub the floor with us presents'
sonic: pff..forget about me and what blood I am my still a mobian like you guys so try and treat me like you would with anyone else and just call me sonic
'umm alright if that what you wish sonic, and my name is Tikal the head maid that just here to cover the staff shortage we have today and the lady next to me is called wave'
sonic: cool as we already greeted each other why don't we make this chore a little bit more fun
sonic look around and saw a load of cleaning supplies and went over to it thinking on what to do and then spotted the large scrubbing brushes and some long rags and thought of an idea as he turns back to the girls with an excited expression on his face.
sonic: does anyone know how to skate?
wave: umm I do

shadow: my lords is there any signs of the criminal's whereabouts?
lord: no your majesty we have search everywhere in are areas and couldn't find a thing connecting to him
melphiles: hmm well if he escapes the void then he most likely would want to get back at the three of us but mainly you silver for escaping that day
silver nodded as a response as he had a serious expression from what melphiles said and spoke back to the group of mobians that was gather round the large table in front of the three kings.
silver: we must tighten the security in the kingdom as well as all of your lands just so we can keep the public safe and..
'hahaahha'hehehe'
silver: what is the commotion out there
all of them heard giggling and laughing behind the large door making them all get up ready to fight as there seem to be hearing a group of them with shadow being the first one to open the door, but they were all confused with what they were seeing.
