chapter twenty three

It was now October 31st, signifying the day of the battle between Valhalla and Toman. Moros stood still next to a familiar black haired boy as the two gangs charged at each other, beginning their fight.

"You sure you wanna do this? You seem real nervous." He spoke, with the helmeted figure simply nodding, giving him a thumbs up before calmly walking into the fight, not bothered by the bodies of people flying past them.

Toman members attempted to fight against Moros, though they kept their hands in their pockets, easily dodging before kicking the members hard on the gut, easily knocking them out. 

It was like a stroll to the park to Moros, casually walking around the battle, occasionally swatting away the annoying 'bugs' getting near them. By this time, Moros was being acknowledged by more Toman members and the bystanders, especially the Haitani twins, watching the battle.

One Toman member came rushing in, attempting to land a hit, but of course, Moros had easily avoided the hit before staring at the new person. "So, you're the dude that Draken was talking about huh..." 

Moros immediately recognized the lilac hair. "Mitsuya Takashi, second division captain." They quietly spoke to themself. Though, Mitsuya, even with all the yelling around, was able to hear.

"Huh? Quit your muttering and," He started before running towards Moros, prepared to land another blow. "Start fighting me punk!"

With every punch Mitsuya attempted to land, Moros would counter with a punch back. The difference in strength used against the other Toman members compared to the strength Moros used going against Mitsuya was visible, even Mitsuya himself was able to clearly see that.

Moros was...purposefully going easier on Mitsuya? It was strange to Mitsuya. Just who the hell was this masked dude?

The mini fight between Mitsuya and Moros was put on hold after a loud crash was heard from behind. Looking back, Hanma was punched by Draken and got sent back. Seeing this as a chance, Moros landed a hit strong enough to send Mitsuya to the ground, not forgetting to slightly bow before rushing to help Hanma up, who was limping ever so slightly.

Helping the lanky boy back on his feet, Moros gained a cheeky grin from Hanma, who, internally, was absolutely fanboying over Moros and their 'mysterious cool' demeanour.

"Thank you, Moros darling. <3" Moros only flipped him off and patted Hanma on the back harshly before returning to the crowd of people. Feeling boosted by their touch, the tall boy hurriedly returned to his fight with Draken, who was rather distracted, staring at Moros. With this, Hanma managed to kick Draken hard, earning a grunt.

"Oho, it seems like Draken is getting a little bit distracted by our new member, Moros!~" "Shut the hell up, I'm gonna beat your ass up."

No one spoke a word as the loud sound rang, with a thud following after. Kazutora, along with the two other Valhalla members, were knocked out by Mikey, who was now down on his knees, clearly tired. The only thing now heard were the yells of worry by his Toman members, begging him to get back up.

"Hey, he's really not moving." "Shit, this is our chance! Everyone, follow me!" Another masked member of Valhalla yelled. With the members of Valhalla following behind, they raced toward Mikey, planning to finish him off. Takemichi, who was insanely worried for Mikey, also attempted to race up the cars when he noticed the identity hiding person from earlier, Moros.

'Moros? I didn't even notice him until now! How will I prevent his death?! Wait, how am I even supposed to prevent his death if I don't even know who he is! God, why wouldn't Draken finish his sentence that time?!!'

Moros found themself also climbing up the pile of cars, not to finish Mikey off, but rather to check up on him and Kazutora. After all, Kazutora did beat him multiple times with a metal pipe. Before they can reach him, a familiar figure jumped and punched the first person near Mikey, which happened to be the member right in front of Moros.

'Of all stupid, dumb, disgusting, ugly ass people...It's him. Well then, it's your turn to shine, Baji.' 

"Tokyo Manji Gang 3rd division leader, captain Kisaki Tetta. Our division will personally take charge of protecting our leader." He said, but it was clear that he absolutely didn't care whether this battle was won or lost.

'Tch, who does he think he is, some fucking superhero? I'll beat your scrawny, fucking ass up cunt.'

With everyone praising him for his actions, Kisaki hadn't noticed a person sneaking from behind, prepared to hit Kisaki with utmost strength. 

"I've been waiting for this moment, Kisaki!" The voice said. Kisaki had only then turned around and was met with a metal rod hitting him straight in the face, sending him practically flying. Everyone around looked up in shock.

Baji Keisuke has finally joined the battle.

Moros felt themself smiling crazily under the helmet, itching to join in on beating Kisaki up. But, they had to wait for their signal.

Just a little longer, Moros kept repeating in their head. It was only a matter of time before they were allowed to go haywire on everyone around them.

"Kisaki! I'm gonna jack up your face so bad, no one'll recognize ya!" Baji announced loud and clear, pumping up Moros even more.

Moros quickly removed all the Toman members surrounding them, energy surging through them.

'Well then, with him now here, everything's finally going to get started.~'

hello everyone! i'm sorry if recent chapters aren't up to expectations or just feel like they're lowering in terms of quality, or just the progress of the story is going as slow as a snail.

school's been messing with my brain, same with my mental health, and overall, i haven't been feeling good about myself in general. but, i'm still trying to update now and then. i still wanted to give you guys some sort of chapter!

i do realize the story isn't progressing that quickly, if not extremely slowly, and i apologize once again for that :/

i'm planning to create one entire era focusing on y/n and his family background issues, though i need to think of where to add it, not to mention future love interests.

aaaghahg so many things to think about.
