Sapphire Black, Daughter of Lucy and Sirius Black

Houses and moving in

The hat calls us up one by one, eventually it's my groups turn, first my turn,
"Black, Sapphire!" Proffesor McGonagall calls out loudly
The hat sits on my head for around ten minutes then finally yells,
"Slytherin!" The Slytherin's clap happily for me being their new member welcoming her with open arms. After a lot more people being sorted finally it's
" snitch is next, the hat does the same, sits on her head for around ten minutes then yells,
"Slytherin!" Once again the Slytherin's look welcoming.
Last but not least is Em,
"Lupin, Emerald!" Again ten minutes pass when the hat shouts,
"Slytherin!" Yes! We're all in the same house!

We all sit next to each other at the long Slytherin table when Dumbledore's (a/n Omg when I wrote 'dumbledore' fumble core came up in suggestions! I just about died!) Speech began,
"Hogwarts, blah blah blah, learning... Let the feast begin!" Well, at least that's what I heard.

"Soooooo...." I try to start a conversation with my friends.
"What do you think the Slytherin dorms and comments room is going to look like?" Moony (Em) asks helping me carry the conversation.
"I don't know actually, Ihope the dorm rooms are cozy though" Snitch tells us thinking.
"Yeah, cozy and warm." Cat echo's blissfully.
"I hope there's books." Moony dreams up.
"Have I ever told you how you can be such a nerd? How did you not get into Ravenclaw?" I ask Moony giggleing.
"Actually the hat was going to put me in Ravenclaw but then it changed it's mind." She tells us.
"The hat was going to put me in Gryffindor." Snitch informs us.
"Same." Says Cat.
"I was only Slytherin" I tell them. The feast ends a hour later while the conversation drifts on to the food and what we want to do.

"First year Slytherin's follow me!" The head boy shouts from the front of our line. We all follow him obediently into the dungeon where apparently the dorms are held. It's cool though because apparently none of the other houses know where our comments room is.
"Pureblood" the head girl says to the snake password do-dad. We enter the Comments room slowly but are shocked when we see it, heavy green rugs are on the ground and the walls are a light green. The chairs and comfy looking couches are emerald green with Grey pillows facingf the cozy fireplace. The floor is a dark wood. On one side of the wall all you see is the bottom of the black lake, fish are swimming by yet, it's surprisingly warm inside the room.

"This is where you will spend your free time when you aren't in your dorms. Please clean up after yourself and do not smack the window," he points to the giant window of the black lake "the fish don't like it, and thrust me, you do NOT want to see them angry. I see a few timid first years shift slightly away from the glass.

"Now go pick a dorm." The head girl orders us. Me and the girls sprint towards a empty girls dorm Down a hallway to the left, the boys dorms are on the right and the girls are on the left. We get inside the dorm and we each call a big four poster bed. Em picks the one nearest the bookshelf, Cat the one next to the window and myself and Snitch get the ones on the other side of the room.

The room is painted a bright green there's space for pictures. Each bed has a Grey comforter on top with emerald green pillows decorated with the Slytherin crest. On the end of the bed each one of us has a big chest to store some of our close. Me and Snitch share a nightstand and Cat and Em share one. On the opposite sides of the bed each one of us has a closet. We have a private full bathroom in our dorm we have to share. In the back wall there's a small fireplace to keep us warm.

Cat flops onto her bed and sighs,
"Perfect"
Our uniforms where Slytherin ones and where surprisingly comfortable (saph's on top!).
"We should unpack." Em suggests logically.
"Yeah." We all agree. We start unpacking slowly, in the end we had to help Em with her books of course. I packed a couple of my favorite books and so did Cat and Snitch so we put those on the bookshelf, soon enough we had a full bookshelf. After we've finished we walk into the comments room.
"I suggest we make allies, split up?" I ask as if a wars going to happen.
"Ma'am yes ma'am" they all respond and we all split up.

After around a hour of mingling we get some useful information such as,
Our head of house is Snape, he teaches Potions and you're good as long as you don't get on his bad side.
Elizabeth Hearson likes Alexander Lycroft from Ravenclaw but won't admit it.
Scalene Green is the head boy.
Elaine Grindlowly is head girl.
Everyone stereotypes Slytherin's to be evil and horrible people.
We're mortal enemies with Gryffindor (what's so bad about Gryffindor's?)
And you know dating gossip and stuff. And luckily classes start tomorrow! Part of me is like, Yay! The other half of me is like, oh god work.
I also heard there's no cereal! Luckily I convinced my dad to put a undetectable extendable charm on my back pack so at all times I have like, six boxes on me, with out anyone knowing.

Soon enough it was time for bed,
"I like it here" whispers Cat in the dark.
"Yeah so do I" I whisper back into the dark.
