Wishes do come true

Evie-rose:
I asked mum and dad if they were getting me a dog and that I'd heard them going in about it to grandma.
To my disappointment they said no,that they weren't getting me a dog and that they were just talking about how well I'd looked after jasper and all this random babble.mum and dad are going along fine with the baby now,mums quitting work she's leaving it for good.says she never really liked they job much anyway,today she's telling her boss and walking out.i wished my mum luck.she came back smiling waving her work files about as she tossed them in the bin with a huge grin spreading across her face.its the biggest smile I've seen from her in ages.dads also been smiling a lot today,they've been acting like there's something I do know.i questioned mum but she declined ever answer."are you keeping something from me "'I asked her "no why what makes you think that Evie"she'd replied as she ruffled my hair.
"Are you having twins?"'I guessed."no"
"Has dad got promoted?" I asked "no"
"Is dad taking you out on a date night?" "No,I wish"
"Are we getting a dog"I asked hopefully "most certainly not"
I gave up asking and went up to my bedroom staring blankly out of the window.the vast hills rolled into swift smooth shapes surrounding the farm,the yard had a few sheds, and footpaths that lead to the animal feilds up on the lush green hills,I could see the sheep,I could see the cows,I could see the hens,I could see the ponies up at the very far end of their field grazing,but there was one thing that I wished could be there.a dog. Running back to me with a ball in its mouth waiting to chase it back down the hill,a dog that would never get tired easily.imagine a dog herding the sheep and keeping the horses in order.helping me on the farm.id take it for a log walk every single night no matter how bad the weather was.

Darcy:
My wish is granted,Ellie says that I have been sold,that I'm going to live with a very nice family that suit my daily needs.they say their daughter would be interesting in the showing business and I'm being taken tomorrow at around 6:30.mother didn't talk much,she looked rather sad."why are you sad mother" I asked her worriedly "well I hated seeing all my babies go to their new homes,and I've got used to you being here haven't I?" She said "and it's going to be strange,no other puppy to look after,you know,it'll be empty.my heart will be empty" she sobbed. "Don't worry mother I'll be fine,I could come and visit you couldn't I?"I squeaked "I'm not sure sweetie"mother soothed me "what do you mean"'I asked confused "shhh calm down,goodnight"she cried softly before padding into Ellie's room. I lay on the sofa dreaming of my new home and family. I can't wait to get there,it's going to be so much fun!
