"Niki! Don't run so fast! Mum said that we should be careful!"
"Catch me, Yudai-hyung!" - Seven-year-old Niki was running ahead of his big brother.
"You little troublemaker, you just wait until I catch you!"
Fourteen-year-old Yudai turned into his wolf form, and very quickly caught up to his little brother, jumping onto him, which made Niki burst out laughing.
"You find this funny?" - Yudai told him with a smirk, he was back in his human form now.
He began tickling Niki's stomach, making the little boy laugh even more.
After a while they were back in their small house, being greeted by their mother and their barely one year old little brother.
The Koga Pack, or rather the Koga family.
They were japanese immigrants, always running away from something, and Niki never fully understood what it was...
Their father had been killed by a vampire just a few months ago.
Niki didn't know what happened and even in his adult years, he still didn't know the reason why.
His mother and big brother seemed to know, but always refused to tell him.
They were eating dinner, now. Niki was looking at his mother feeding Taki, his baby brother.
When their mother looked at Yudai with a very serious expression.
"What is it, mother?" - The boy asked, concerned. He thought he was in trouble with something.
Yudai noticed that their mother had felt something. She was starting to look around scared. She in the end stopped moving and told Yudai, as she was looking towards the window nearby.
"Yu... if something happens to me... promise to take care of Niki and Taki for me okay... take care of your little brothers no matter what."
"What are you talking about? What do you mean if something happens to you?" - Niki, asked.
"Niki, take Taki to your room. Me and mother have to talk." - Yudai, ordered.
Niki pouted, but he grabbed baby Taki and walked out of the kitchen, nonetheless.
"Yudai... he is coming for us... I'm so scared, but I'll do anything to protect you three. When I tell you to grab your brothers and to run, you will do exactly as I say!"
"Mother... Who is he?"
"A vampire."

Yudai was holding Niki's hand with his left hand and was hugging baby Taki close to his chest with his right hand.
"What do you want from us! Go away! Joseph, we have nothing to give to you! You killed my husband, what else do you want!!!"
