"Hello Alfried, Bruce said we'd be welcomed here" Dick smiled charmingly as he hovered in the doorway of the manor doors, Jason a step behind him but holding onto his hand tightly. Both wearing backpacks with the few belongings they were bringing with them. 

"Master Bruce did warn me over some distant family members arriving soon. Welcome to the manor, young masters" Alfred greeted the pair with a straight face but a welcoming tone as he stepped back and nodded for them both to enter. 

"Who's Bruce?" Jason whispered as he pulled Dick back with their joint hands, not daring to enter until he knows who the stranger was. 

"He'll be the one taking us in" Dick explains in a calm tone and giving their joint hands a reassuring squeeze. 

"Why isn't batman taking us in? It was his idea" Jason grumbled back as the pair of them stepped inside and shuffled out of the way for Alfred to close the door behind them. 

"I'm rather certain we can trust Bruce to take good care of us. He's got Alfred helping him after all" Dick replies with a knowing smirk as he looks towards the younger boy and wondering if he should tell Jason everything or wait until Bruce was comfortable enough for his secret to be known by another. 

"Can I take your coats, young masters?" Alfred calmly asked, helping to move the topic along before anymore secrets are given out. 

"Will we get them back if we decide not to stay after meeting your master?" Jason asked with wariness as he made no move to remove his coat, bag or release Dick's hand. Ready to run for the door and drag the older boy with him if Alfred made any sudden movements. 

"As long as you don't mind waiting a few seconds for me to collect them, sir" Alfred calmly answered with reassuring eyes to show he meant no harm. 

"Be nice, little wing. We can't expect everything to comfortable straight away. It takes time for us to settle and grow use to the new settings around us. If you act rude then they'll only see the bad and not the good to you" Dick spoke in a soothing tone as he slipped his hand free first and removed his bag and coat first to show nothing bad would happen to either of them while needing his Jason to understand that he won't be given a chance if he only acts rudely to them all. 

"It's urr nice to meet you .. Mr Alfred" Jason awkwardly speaks up as he glances towards Alfred as he accepts Dick's offered coat. Slowly removing his own coat now while Dick holds both their backpacks to show he'd look after their belongings for now to help ease Jason a little more. 

"My full names falls to be Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth. But I'll accept either Alfred or Mr Pennyworth just fine" Alfred intruded himself properly and gives a polite head bow towards the pair.  

"Oh right. Thank you for taking our coats, Alfred" Jason shyly mutters back as he passes over his coat to the older man who happily accepts it from him. 

A calm silence falls over the two boys as Alfred steps away to the coat cupboard close by the mansion big double doors and places their coats neatly inside. Placing them closer to the door to grab them quicker if the two did wish to leave early. 

"It was a pleasure young sir and I do hope you'll feel comfortable around us soon enough. The manor might seem huge but hopefully it'd feel like a cosy home soon enough for you both" Alfred calls out over his shoulder as he works and soon has the coat cupboard door shut again before turning to the youngest boy.
