An Unexpected Turn

I met with Val shortly after our phone call. Her full name is Valery but she hated her name and changed it to Val Jinx. She had blond hair and a need to know everything-I mean everything. We met in her storm cellar because her parents were out of town and because she had the best computer setup in Central City. When we met she was mad.

"OK Wally, what is this about??" Yep, really mad.

"Nothing major, I just need to see some footage from earlier today."

"Let me guess, it's 'for a friend'?" She asked accusingly. Almost every favor I asked for I explained by saying it was for a friend.

"Yes!" I exclaimed exasperated," It's for a friend. You gonna do it?"

"Fine I'll email it to you. OK?"

"K, get it to me quick" I said starting to rush out the door.

----------Bedroom 8:00----------

I woke up with a heavy head because of a lack of sleep. I kept seeing Barry's face flash before my eyes. What could make some one so scared? It didn't seem possible. I checked my phone, there was an email from Val.

She's awesome! I pulled up the link and instantly I rewound to the moment of my lunch with Barry. I watched him walk out of Jitters and then... that can't be right. Barry was standing there then he was gone with a streak of neon yellow. I had heard stories but I never thought they were true. Barry Allen was the Flash. That was impossible- the Flash was a myth. But there it was a dissapearing man in a lightning bolt. I picked up my phone and called Val."Hey, me again I need you to track that guy in the video from the every video camera in the city."

"You want me to track a dude?" She exclaimed disgusted.

"I think he's in danger just tell me if anything weird happens to him."

"Roger that!" With that Val hung up. I couldn't think of anything else to do so I wanted to check and see how many other people had figured out what I had.

I walked in and walked up to Iris' desk that was covered with papers and notes about S.T.A.R. Labs and the latest police investigations. I needed to find a way to find out if she knew about the Flash with out telling her about him if she didn't know or telling her I know. This is the tricky part. "I-"

"Mrs. West there is a phone call for you from some one named Cisco," An unidentified intern walked over and reported.

"Thanks, forward it to me,"

"Will do Iris," Iris picked up the phone. At first she looked confused but as the conversation went on on the other end of the line she then looked terrified. She looked up.

"Wally I have to go." And with that she ran out of the room. At the same moment, I got a text that said: "Something's up with that dude, sending you footage from three seconds ago"In the video he was now watching, Barry was holding his head like he had a headaches then dropping to the ground right in front of S.T.A.R. Labs. There was no sound but I could see that Barry was screaming as he was clutching his head like he was trying to keep out the worst music on the planet. Two people walked out of the large round building, a brown headed woman and a short t-shirt wearing man came out and stuck a needle into Barry. Barry stopped moving and these two people carried him inside.
