Goggles

I walked out of the closet I changed in feeling like an idiot. I was wearing a wrestling uniform with wires and electrical boxes all over me, and to top it off, it was too big. I looked like a dork. "Why would anyone put this on by choice?"

"It's not that bad," Caitllen said, apparently trying to do something with one of the boxes strapped to this torture devise they call an outfit."It fits you better than it did Barry"

"That was the longest afternoon of my life," commented Barry.

"Why couldn't I have just worn Barry's suit?"This thing was starting to itch.

Cisco, who was running around like crazy, checking screens, pushing buttons and twisting dials, called, "Um, I am the only one who is allowed to touch my suit."

"And me." Called Barry, who had lost interest in me and had started looking at a book on the large desk in the middle of the room.

"You blew one up."

"That was almost a year ago, Cisco. Let it go." I was really enjoying their exchange, though Caitllen was rolling her eyes. She was the only one still working and she muttering something about immaturity, but she was smiling.

"Hey," I called,"remember me? Fast kid?"

"No, that's a horrible name," Cisco turned his attention back to me," right, back to Wally. To the treadmill."

"Really?"Now even Caitllen was getting into the argument while we all stepped into the room with the giant treadmill. I stepped on to it and waited.

"How long is this gonna take?" I was really nervous. I were trying to see what happened to me. If I could really run like Barry, like the Flash. The idea gave me two feelings dredd and excitement. But, mostly excitement.

"Not long," Cisco was talking again,"Ok...go" I started walking as I felt the floor under me start to move, first slow, then picking up speed. I started to run. I looked down at my feet and well that's weird,  My feet were moving so fast that I shouldn't be able to see them, but I could. I could see them see them moving and I could see little sparks coming off of them. Then I turned my attention to the treadmill. It was still gaining speed, but I was not. I pushed my self but it was too fast. Then I had the very freeing expearience of flying through the air and hitting my head on the wall. At this point, my brain decided that it was tired and I passed out.

----------------------------------Time skip--------------------------------------------------------------

"Wally? Wally!" Oh go away, Barry. My head hurts and I don't wanna wale up. But, dispite his headache and his tiredness, he forced himself to consciousness. He opened his eyes to Barry's face. I was back on the medical cot, again.

"What happened?" I started getting up. This time, there was no objection.

Cisco ran up, grinned at me, and said,"Sorry. I turned the treadmill up too high. You hit the wall. Look." I looked into the room that held the treadmill. There was a big dent in the wall behind it, about the size of my head. Oh great. "Your head is really hard,"

"Whatever," I said, rubbing the back of my head where I could feel a whelp forming. Owch! "How fast did I go?"

"Pretty fast. You ran about a half mac 1."

"Really?"

"This means that your not as fast as Barry. Your about half his speed" Cisco picked up his tablet and started moving his fingers across the screen. I expected him to continue, but then I looked and he was playing Flappy Birds. Wow, he has a really high score. Then he looked up, dropping his tablet snd opened his mouth to yell, "Oh-" While Barry was catching his tablet. It was weird. I could see Cisco's mouth moving, but it was really slow, while Barry was moving at a normal speed. picking up the tablet and pressing buttons on it.

He looked up and saw me looking at him and he said,"Pretty cool right."

Then Cisco seemed to catch up with us and he said,"yeah, I have something for you Wally." I gave Barry a questioning look but his eyes were glued to the tablet screen as I followed Cisco to his lab where he handed me a pair of yellow swim goggles with red glass.

"What are these for?" They looked just like any pair you could get at any store. "And what just happened with the tablet"

"What about the tablet?"

Barry walked over to us again and picked up the goggles from my hands,"Time slowed down for him."

"Oh. Well then I've got a lot to explain. Ok, so first, the time. Your mind and eyes were moving so fast that it looked like the tablet fell in slow motion. Second, the goggles. I upgraded them, so now, instead of eye protection, they connect to your the place in your brain processes stuff and speeds it up. See before your brain could only keep up with normal speed stuff and stuff the same speed of you. But if you put these," Cisco took the goggles from Barry,"will let you see things even faster. This will boost your processing speed to faster than Barry's.

"Why don't I get speed goggles?" Barry was back on that tablet again.

"You don't need them. "

While they were talking , I realized just how hungry I was. I hadn't eaten since I had found that my legs can take me faster than the bus. "Hey Barry, what time is it?"

"Um," He paused," 2:00 o'clock"

What?!?! "I gotta go home"

"What? You can't go home. I doubt that your body is done changing and we have more test to-" Cisco kept talking but this is about the time I stopped listening.

"My mom is going to be going crazy, I need to go home and see her. Tell her what happened."

Barry looked up, he looked torn,"Fine, just...be careful. Your speed, if you lose control can be...dangerous."

"Did you ever lose control?"

He paused, his head down,"Yeah, once. I got wammied, it was weird and everything was red. Be safe," That was a pretty weird sentence, but not the weirdest one I had heard this week. It confused me but before I had time to think about it, I was almost teleported into my front yard while the weird goggles are placed in my hands. It's very weird being able to see at the speed of sound. I couldn't help but notice this as I was pulled along at the speed of...what ever speed Barry runs at. I went inside and climbed the stairs up to my room, I was gonna need a lot of shut eye tonight.
