Blood

It felt like that moment had lasted for hours, Grodd's eyes boring into me like a lazer. I could feel him still in my head but he was silent. Eventually, he looked back to the Flash as he reached back and ripped a closet door off its hinges to show a... guy wearing green?

Oooookay, not what I was expecting. The Flash seemed to be in disbelief at the man, or maybe his look was one of compassion. While I took in this, the weird man stepped out and pulled something from behind his ba- WAIT, IS THAT A BOW?!? and before I had time to think, a small green torpedo was shooting towards me much faster than a bullet. Then it was just pain.

For a split second it was just in my side, but then the pain spread. It was the most agonizing thing I had ever felt. It spread first to the rest of my chest, then to my head and my feet until even my teeth hurt. I could feel my mind start to slip into darkness but I fought it off as I stared into the dark sky. I didn't remember falling but it was apparent that I had. I saw the Flash's face come into view, he was looking at the place where I guessed the arrow was.

His voice seemed to came from far away as he said,"Wally, I'm gonna pick you up, OK? It's gonna hurt," and he wasn't lying. I didn't feel his hands just pain like I was being shot all over again. I screamed, but it was lost in the wind as my carrier ran faster that the sounds I made.

The next thing I knew I was on a bed, hearing voices. I heard Cisco's, and Caitllen's, and Barry's. Then, a new wave of pain washed in. I tried to push the darkness out of my vision, but it was too strong and I was too weak. I gave into sleep.

Barry's POV

I ran Wally back to S.T.A.R. Labs, running faster then I thought was possible. I placed his as gently on the bed as I could at my speed. "Cisco, Caitllen, we need to help Wally."

"Why? What's wrong?" Caitllen looked up from the screens in the center of the room where they always were when I went out as the Flash. Even before I answered she was at Wally's side, studying the arrow still sticking out of him like a flag. I thought back to Jitter's. Oliver was there. Why had Oliver been there? He had been under Grodd's mental control, I knew that for sure; something about his eyes had screamed it. But how had he gotten "Whamied" in the first place? I didn't think Grodd ever left Central City, and Oliver tells me if he comes here. My thoughts were jarred by Caitllen calling out,"Barry! Barry, wake up! We need you!" That woke me up faster than anything.

I ran over to where my partners were working on Wally. Cisco explained," You two," he pointed first to me, then to Wally,"Are a blood match! We need to give him your blood."

"Is that safe? You do remember that MY BLOOD ISN'T HUMAN?!?!"

Caitllen spoke now," I don't know if you've noticed but this isn't a hospital! Your's is the only blood we have here that matches his blood type so get on the bed and we'll take your blood and put it in his system. We only need enough so that his brain cells won't die while he's clotting."

"Fine!" I wasn't happy about this. What is his system responds wrong to the blood because of the cell's reproduction speed? What if? What if? All sorts of different disasters ran through my head so fast I didn't even realize they were already taking a small tube filled with red over to Wally. Come on kid! You can make it! By now all my adrenaline had worn off and how tired I was. As Cisco and Caitllen continued to work I slipped into my mind with my eyes closed and drifted off to sleep.

Wally's POV

I woke up with my side hurting and my body stiff. I opened my eyes to see Cisco standing over me, and if I looked past him, I saw Caitllen and Barry looking his way with concern. "Welcome back Mr. West!"
