I shut my eyes tight, deciding.
Fuck it.
I ran after him, rushing outside into the heavy rain.
"Roger wait!"
He turns his head around to me, looking pissed.
"I'm so sorry, I don't k-"
"Lucy, stop."
He turns his head back around, walking away from me.
Suddenly, the anger hits me like a punch in the stomach.
"Oh so this is my fault?"
I say, making him walk even faster. Tears form in my eyes.
I just got him back, now I made him leave again.
I end up following him, finally catching up to him, out of breath. I grab his arm, as he lit a cigarette.
"Roger please just listen to me."
He ignored me, as if I was a ghost or something.
Fucking rude.
I furiously snatched the lighter out his hand, as he muttered something I couldn't hear as his mouth was filled with a cigarette.
"Look. Lucy. I'm not interested. Friends to lovers is a bit awkward don't you think?" He says, taking his cigarette out of his mouth.
I could not believe what I was hearing.
I chewed on my inner cheek, as he stopped walking.
"Right." I whispered softly.
Tears fell down my face as I hurriedly walked the opposite way. I could feel his eyes staring at the back of my head, making me walk faster until I was almost running.

January 27, 1974

All I remember from that night was me being absolutely smashed. I was knelt next to the toilet throwing up like mad, with my best friend Marie going on and on about this guy at her work she fancies.
That's when the doorbell rang. Marie lept up and ran down the stairs.
"I'll get it!" She said like a little 9 year old.
My vision began to blur, as my head span.
The door opened, as I sat up to listen.
That's when I heard a familiar voice.
"Is De- I mean Lucy here?"
Roger.
I just knew Marie was lost for words.
I mean, how would you feel if the Roger Taylor turned up at your friend's house.
"L- Lucy?" She called up to me.
I slowly made my way down the stairs as my vision went around and around the room.
"Hey Lucy I got these-" He looked me up and down.
"Are you feeling okay?"
"She's fine." Marie intervened. "How about you two head off together." She whispered something in his ear, smirking at me,
I remember being pushed into Roger's arm as she shut us out of her house.
Rogers arm went around my shoulder, sending shivers down my body.
"How about I take you to my home." He offered.
I can't refuse an offer when I'm drunk. I nodded tiredly, as he walked down the road with me in his arm.
"Listen." He said, shivering. "I fucked up. I know it's way too late to say this, but please give me one more chance."
What was I going to say to that?
We didn't speak for the whole walk to his house, until we finally got there.
"I got you these." He says, handing me something. My vision blurs again as his soft voice echoes through my head. I tried to blink away the blur, my head feeling as if it was spinning around the room.

I woke up the next morning, on Roger's sofa, laying asleep on his chest. It was so cold but being cuddled up to him made me feel warm.
His chest felt softer than my pillow, but I had to get up. My migraine was killing me, I really shouldn't have drunk that much last night. I stood up, shivering, waking him up too.
"Leaving?" He says with a soft, raspy voice.
I nod tiredly, yawning.
"I'll drive you." He says, standing up and grabbing his keys.

The car journey was awkward and silent. I was still mad at him though. Not only did he rudely reject me after he found out who I really was, he blamed it on me!
"I'm sorry for leaving you that night."
Little bit late for that.
"I tried to tell you this two times last night, but you were too drunk."
I turn my head to him.
I had forgotten how perfect he was. His soft voice, his long, golden hair, his humour, everything.
"I got you two tickets for our upcoming show so can bring a friend or whatever. I want you to take this as an apology. You'll be allowed backstage or in the crowd, your choice. I'll tell you the details, if you decide to go that is."
He placed his hand in mine as I quickly snatched mine away.
"I'll think about it." I said coldly.

When we arrived at my house, he gave me the tickets and I snatched them from him. I hurriedly got out of his car and into my apartment.
I later on fell asleep on my sofa, until night
when I woke up.
I stared at the tickets that were on the table tiredly.
Might as well give it a go.
