I put on some random clothes of his and stormed down the stairs, Deaky, Brian and Freddie looking at me, concerned.
"Lucy wait!"
Except I didn't wait this time.
Darcie?
The shirt?
I was fed up.
I slammed the door shut and left without a thought.

"The fuck did you do?" Brian asked him, concerned.
Roger threw the shirt at him and sighed.
"I can try talk to her, because someone doesn't have the balls to." Brian said, sighing while going after her.
                                         *

"Hey wait!" I heard someone say.
I turned around, only because the voice didn't sound like Roger.
It was Brian.
"You're misunderstanding the whole situation."
"What don't I understand then?" I said, stopping and turning around to him.
"It's one of his ex's shirts."
"And he isn't going to give it back? He's just going to keep it?"
Fucking Darcie I bet it is.
"They only broke up... recently."
"How recently?"
He sighed before answering, then finally spoke.
"Two days."
TWO DAYS?
I sighed and continued walking, even faster this time. And to think Brian was different to Roger.
                                       *
"Well?"
"Guess you've lost another one."
"And you didn't try to stop her!?"
"At least I actually fucking went after her! I did you a favour. You're welcome."

April 29th, 1974
My birthday.

I woke up to a knock on my door. For fuck sake. It was still early. I got dressed and went to open the door to see that it was Roger.
I was about to shut the door, when he stopped it with his foot.
"Look, please just let me speak."
I sighed.
"Go on."
"If you don't want me back here, ever, just let me know. Remember that night where you came home and we didn't let you in the living room?"
"Yeah?"
He sighed and looked to the floor.
"It's a lot to explain, I'll tell you another time. I'm sorry. I've been missing you so much and non stop thinking about you. Please, can we restart?" He said, holding my hands.
His pretty, blue eyes stared at me. I couldn't say no when those gorgeous eyes looked at me like that.
"F- fine."
He smiled at me, and I loved that little smile of his.
"Happy birthday by the way."
"You remembered." I said, shocked and happy.

Hours later, Roger invited me to dinner at this fancy restaurant in town and I wore my favourite black dress. This all felt strange, I personally didn't think I'd see him again, besides on the TV and newspapers.
We sat down on a table close to the wall as a waitress came up to us and I ordered a salad and Roger ordered a steak. I don't really order salad in restaurants but I felt like I needed to lose a little bit of weight.
"Remember that shirt I wore when I came with you to a rehearsal?"
"Yeah.."
"I kept it." I admitted, laughing.
"I wondered where that shirt went." He replied, smiling. "Why did you keep it?"
"I wanted to remember you incase I never saw you again." I replied, embarrassed.
"Awww-"
"Shut up." I said, as we both laughed together.

Our food came and Roger devoured his steak, fast.
"Jesus someone was hungry." I said, eating my salad.
"It's not like you to get a salad. What's up with you?"
"Nothing." I smiled at him.
"Hm."
We finished our food and Roger payed and as soon as I was about to stand up, he got on one knee.

Oh my god.
Was this actually happening?

He took a little box out from his pocket and opened it to reveal a beautiful diamond ring. I was shocked and happy at the same time.

"Will you marry me Lucy." He said, smiling as everyone else on other tables watched. I had no words. I was trying to push out words from my mouth until I finally spoke.

"Yes!" I said, tearing up. He put the ring on my finger and it fit perfectly. This was like a dream come true.
Everyone clapped and I turned my head around to see..
Brian.
I was so stupid.
That was meant to be my birthday present.

I was so overwhelmed with emotion I just hugged Roger tightly and kissed him.
Me and Roger walked out of the restaurant, with Brian catching up behind us.
"Congratulations." Brian said as I hugged him.
"You don't know how nervous Rog was."
That made me smile even more then I already was.

"I'll leave you two alone now."
Roger continued speaking to Brian as I got in the car and couldn't hear them anymore.
I was so overwhelmed; I did not expect that at all.

After a while Roger came in the car, smiling at me as I stared at my ring.
"It's beautiful." I said, smiling down at it.
"Took me and Brian ages to decide on that. Glad you like it."

We drove back to his place, making me realise how much I really did miss him. He locked the door, (For once.) And began kissing my neck, and I guess you know what happened after.

13th of May, 1974

Lately I've been feeling very nauseous, but I was all alone as Roger was on tour. It took a while for it to hit me;
Was I pregnant?

The idea shocked me; the fact I could be carrying a whole human in me for nine whole months. I had to find out, as soon as possible, whether Roger was there or not.

I went to the shop that was right around the corner to buy a pregnancy test, and I just picked one up until I saw someone enter the shop.
My sister.
She spotted me almost right away and began walking towards me before I could even put down the test.

"Lucy! How are you doing?" She then noticed the box in my hand and looked at me, shocked.
"YOU'RE PR-"
"SH!"
"Who's the father?"
"I don't even know if I am pregnant, Mia. Slow down."
"Okay fine. Who might the father be?"
"You're not gonna believe it. You know the band Queen?"
"Of course I do... why?"
"You know the drummer?"
"You're telling me- I don't believe you."
"You want me to introduce him?"
"Obviously." She said, laughing.

We arranged for her to come next week, because Roger was meant to come back in two days.

I arrived home, shut the door and rushed to the bathroom.

The moment of truth.
