At first, it was a gunshot. A loud bang that was somehow able to overcome the blaring music.

This caused Jungkook to turn around. He stood protectively in front of the younger male. Taehyung didn't need to see his face to know that he was trying to find the source of the noise.

Then it was another gunshot.

People started screaming and running, trying to escape from the scene, unharmed. There was a body lying on the floor. Taehyung tried to follow suit, only to be held firmly in place.

"JK, looks like we have some unfinished business." Jimin called from behind them.

"Fuck. Alright, you're going to come with me." Jungkook looked back at Taehyung holding his wrist tight. He winced at the contact.

"You're going to stay quiet unless you want a fucking bullet through that pretty little head of yours. Got it?" He snapped, eyes harsh and cold.

Taehyung nodded mindlessly, not wanting to make him angry even more than he already is.

As people cleared out of the room, Taehyung got a more clearer view. There was a man surrounded by other bulky men who each held guns. The dead body was lying in front of them. As they reached the scene, Jungkook's hold on the brunette tightened a bit and out of the corner of his eye, Taehyung saw Jimin and Seokjin, walking right beside Jungkook while Yoongi, Hoseok and Namjoon walked by his side, sort of shielding him. And a few more of the ravenette's men were behind them including Luke and Ed.

The man knew he was greatly outnumbered and that Jungkook held some sort of a power over him. Taehyung was sure Jungkook knew that too.

"Who is that?" The brunette whispered. Jungkook shot him a warning look making him shut his mouth.

"Ah Jeon, good to see you, eh?" The man chuckled to himself. "Haven't seen you in a while."

"Yeah, not really my type of crowd. What are you doing here?" Jungkook looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"I—" He began. "Oh! I'm being so rude to your friend."

"No. Its fine." Jungkook glared at him.

"Nonsense, I'm a man with manners. Tell me your name, dear." He walked forward.

Taehyung remained silent. He didn't even want to look at him. Jungkook had clearly told him not to speak to anybody and he didn't want today to be his last living day. So, yeah, he was just going to pretend to be deaf.

"I'm sure Jungkook has told you a lot about me." He said confidently.

Taehyung shook his head.

"Well, what a shame. I'll just have to tell you then. So much you don't know...." The man produced a tsk sound and shook his head dramatically.

"No, really. He doesn't need to know anything." Jungkook let out an exasperated sigh. He ran his fingers through his hair.

"What do you mean?" Taehyung spoke up, regretting as soon as the words slipped from his mouth because Jungkook glared at him with such an intensity that he looked down instantly.

"Now see—" The man began.

"I'd shut my mouth right there if I were you." Jungkook said through gritted teeth and gave a look to Namjoon.

Shots were suddenly fired again.

Jungkook grabbed Taehyung by the elbow and pulled him away to the side. He lurched him forward plowing through everybody.

The brunette was held tight against the ravenette's side, his steps matching his own. They almost reached the back exit only to be held by two men.

They advanced on Jungkook. Their eyes hungrily watching his movements, and Taehyung. The raven haired reacted quickly, and shot one of the men in the foot. As he bent over, Jungkook used the butt of the gun to hit him in the head. Taehyung swore, he heard a crack. The man dropped instantly. The other man knew he was already beaten. He didn't even move. Jungkook took this opportunity and pulled the trigger on him.

Taehyung could feel himself going into shock. Jungkook had just killed two men with one hand. He was being held by a criminal. The same criminal whom he had begun to like, grow feelings for. All these thoughts in his mind were interrupted when Jungkook began to drag him. He flung open the exit door and pulled him through.

The cold air hit them as they stepped out the doorway. Jungkook's car was parked on the curb. He pushed Taehyung to wall of the building, leaning in close dangerously.

"I told you not to fucking speak!" He scolded not even looking in his eyes.

There was no use in defending himself, Taehyung thought. He was right.

"Not only did you make things worse for you, but also us." He snapped. "Do you even know who that man is?"

Taehyung shook his head innocently, allowing a tear to escape his eye. Jungkook's eyes finally met the younger's, his expression softened and he pulled him to his chest, rubbing his back in comfort. Taehyung was shocked, scared and his body was shaking in light tremors.

"That's the point. You aren't supposed to know about him, Taehyung. That man is a nightmare to say the least. He is powerful, sure. But he is an envious prick. He wants what he knows he can't get. He likes the challenge — that makes him almost like me, but what makes us different is he loves to torture the innocent. And I know how the gears in his brain are working right now but I'll be damned if I let him succeed." Jungkook's hand brushed through Taehyung's hair, gently massaging the scalp.

"J-Jungkook, I'm not scared when I'm with you."

"I know, petal, and I'm glad. But let's avoid a repeat of tonight in the future, yeah? I just got you, I'm not planning on losing you." Jungkook's words were confident as he cupped Taehyung's cheek and stroked it gently making him lean into the touch.

Taehyung nodded cutely before biting his lip and blurting out the question that irritated his mind.

"But who exactly is Mike?"

Jungkook's hands stopped massaging Taehyung's scalp and stroking his cheek. He inhaled deeply, his breath wavering. He wasn't scared of the man, no. But he feared how far could he go when it came to hurting his ego. He feared how Taehyung will react. He was conflicted but when he finally told the other his answer, expecting for him to be fine. Taehyung was anything but okay.

Only two words kept echoing in his mind.

"Antonio's brother."
