To say that Rose's mouth was agape would be an understatement. Taehyung couldn't help but giggle at how wide her eyes got and how her jaw literally dropped on the floor.
"T-Taehyung, what the fuck did you s-say—" Hi best friend struggled to speak. The brunette rolled his eyes and quickly pulled her inside and closed the door. They sat on the sofa while one of the maids brought the guest a glass of cold water.
"Okay, spill!" Rose exclaimed.
"Wait, how did you know I was here?" Taehyung diverted her question since he had no clue as to how much she already knew.
She sighed and tightened her ponytail. "One of Mr. Jeon's men delivered me an audio message from him, this afternoon. That same man drove me here."
"Did he hurt you? Oh, I'm sorry, Rose!" Taehyung panicked assuming the worst. He couldn't be blamed though, Jungkook was only sweet towards him. That, plus his men were brutal.
She placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a small smile, "No, Tae. I was scared at first, because obviously, but he was sort of kind and all he did was make a deal for me to come see you since you just disappeared like that but in return, I'd have to keep all of, whatever this is, confidential."
Taehyung nodded for her to continue. "And I was like why should I believe him, he's the Jeon Jungkook for heaven's sake! But then he told me that he was your boyfriend and he means no harm. I was skeptical but also very desperate to see you, so."
"Thanks Rose, you have no idea how much I missed you." Taehyung let out an exasperated sigh.
The other was quick to hug him. They stayed like that for a few moments, swaying back and forth, before she pulled back.
"But why did you just leave all of sudden? I swear to god I promised myself I'd whack you on your head for being so stupid, but damn your adorable face that turns my heart into a big ball of mush." Rose scoffed making the brunette laugh.
"I think I just wanted to get away for a while." Taehyung shrugged while she frowned but nodded nonetheless.
"Is my dad home? Does he know about me being here?" Taehyung asked the question that had been haunting him for a while, secretly hoping that he was doing everything he could to find him.
Rose furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head, "No, he's not at home, Taehyung. And I don't think he knows about you and your sudden vacation."
"You sure?" Taehyung asked feeling his last ray of hope vanishing.
"I'd been visiting your place every now and then after you went mia, and every time I did, nobody answered the door. The house looked so silent as if no one's ever lived there...." She answered, looking pitiful.
"Weird." Taehyung bit his lip. Where was his father? He couldn't be on one of his business tours, Taehyung didn't think so. This was just so strange. He goes missing and so does his father? This wasn't just adding up. Something was not right.
"Taehyung?" Jin's voice interrupted his thoughts. He looked up at him, "Yeah hyungie?"
"I'm sorry but I can't allow your friend to stay here longer, it's getting late and I am in charge of dropping her back home safely." Seokjin whispered only for the brown haired male to hear.
"But it's only been like an hour." A soft whine left his lips.
Seokjin pressed his lips together in a straight line. "It's for her own safety. For all we know, someone can follow her, use her as a bait, to get to anyone of us."
