Jungkook held Taehyung's much smaller and softer hand in his own, his thumb tracing circles on his knuckles. They were laying in the same position for the past ten minutes, with Taehyung laying on Jungkook's chest.

The thunder outside had seemed to calm down a bit but the sound of the heavy downpour could still be heard like a broken melody.

Taehyung tilted his head at an angle which would enable him to see the ravenette's face. The other was already looking down at him.

"Jungkook?" He murmured.

"Hm?" Came his response.

"Why did you wake up then?" Taehyung's voice came out as a whisper afraid to set the other male off again.

Jungkook's gaze locked on the ceiling above them, his hand on the other's back tightened its grip on him as if he going to vanish in thin air any second. Taehyung squeezed his hand, assuring him that he was there for him.

"I know you want answers and I'm ready to give you them. But please, I need you to promise me whatever happens in the future, you won't regret being with me. Promise me, you'll understand whatever I'm doing has a reason behind it. Just please, I need this assurance."

Taehyung didn't know where Jungkook was going with his words. But his voice came out so broken, it had tears brimming in Taehyung's eyes. The ravenette was letting down his usual cold and intimidating demeanor down, and showing his true vulnerable self.

Taehyung nodded without another thought as he cupped his other hand over his hand which was being held by the raven haired.

"Is it about what I asked that day? About your family?" Taehyung pushed himself off his chest, mentally cursing himself because in a way, he was now straddling Jungkook's lap and he could feel the other down there since he was just in his boxers.

Jungkook got up too, laying his back on the headboard. He took Taehyung's hand and pulled him into his chest and rested his chin on top of his head. Taehyung's cheek rested against his chest and he could hear his heartbeat getting fast.

"This is probably the only story I'll ever tell..." He trailed off.

"But you don't have to. I understand if you need you time." Taehyung whispered in a soft voice looking up at him.

"No, Taehyung. If I don't get this off my chest now, I don't think I ever will."

The brunette nodded placing his head back on his chest letting the ravenette hug him.

"I was seventeen, when it all happened." Jungkook let out a heavy and sad sigh, "I lived with my dad, mum and two brothers in Bradford."

Taehyung hummed in response waiting for him to continue when he suddenly paused, it was as if he just wanted to stay in that bubble — in the thought of his family.

"Our living condition wasn't one of the best, we were barely making ends meet. But then dad started up a small firm with the help of his cousins and friends." Jungkook clenched his jaw at the mention of his uncles.

"One of my uncles, Cheong, took a heavy loan from Antonio in the name of helping the business. But, he spent it all on luxuries and desires. He never even paid the man back as promised. He only did what he was best at : using people for his benefit alone." Jungkook's voice wavered before he quickly disguised it as clearing his throat, but Taehyung noticed it.

"My dad was ready to help him in whatever way possible when he came to him. He was a good man, very selfless. Family was everything to him." He smiled at the mention of his father. But then his expression hardened like pricking ice. "Father gave him his savings, cashed out his shares in the firm so he could get himself out of this mess. But when came the day to actually return the borrowed money, uncle fled the scene with all our money, and burdened us with the remaining debt."
