"Come on Dim, let's not make them wait too long!" You excitedly shouted to your companion, making sure to keep your balance on her back. Dimlight made a sound of similar excitement, picking up her speed.

You grinned sheepishly at the clouds you flew through, your extended hand moving through them as if you could catch a part of them. Eventually you looked down at the huge net – filled with lots of medicine, food, and some other supplies in boxes and barrels – Dim was holding in her claws.

Valka asked you to get them while she took care of some newcomer dragons that she freed. Some of them were hurt and the supplies you two had were almost completely used up. You may or may not have gotten a few small things for her too while you were at the market.
Holding the bag around your shoulder, you looked back ahead. The huge ice of Valka's sanctuary slowly appeared in your view.

"Almost there~" You practically purred, which Dim answered with a coo-sound. You sat down on her back again, eyes still focused on your targeted destination. Grinning, you started to talk again;
"You know, Dim, I may have gotten you your favourite fish too, for being such a reliable help and beautiful companion."

The sound Dimlight made could only be described as pure excitement, and the movement she made confirmed it even more. Laughing, you patted her back. "Relaaax, you'll get it once we're home."
Huffing, your friend rolled her eyes. You didn't see it per say, but you could tell when she did that by the movement of her head. You chuckled again, happy that you were back to normal after the events of the last months.

Shaking your head, you quickly replaced your thoughts with the feeling of being free and enjoyed the wind around you. Today wasn't a day to spend on the same moments again, today was a day to help Valka and the newly freed dragons.
'And the day to talk about something rather important... if I manage it today.'

A few dragons flew past you as you and Dim entered the huge sanctuary. You gestured for her to fly over to where Valka was taking care of the hurt dragons, and she replied with a coo-sound.
Once you two were there, Valka greeted you while petting a dragon in front of her. "How was your trip?"

You swiftly used your staff to hold onto Dimlight's wing, and glided down onto the ground while she continued flying ahead to put down the stuff you two got.
You walked over to Valka, smiling. "It was alright, a bit boring but we got everything." You grabbed some of the used medicine things laying around, and began walking away to put them to the other empty stuff.

You put your staff down too, turning around again to look at the woman.
"Buuut I also got a few things for you. I'm sure you'll like them."
She looked at you with a raised eyebrow. "For me? You didn't have to-"
"I know, I know. But I wanted to. You deserve some gifts!"

You smiled at her, though she just looked at you with a face that basically screamed 'you're lying'. Well, she wasn't completely wrong, but you didn't lie – you just only said half of the reason.
"Aaanyway..." you eventually started when you saw Dimlight coming back, "Let's take care of everything else, and then we can talk. The injured dragons come first."

After a moment, she smiled slightly at you in reply. "Most of them are alright now, the last ones are barely injured at all. Some pat's and love is all they need."
"..Ah." You chuckled nervously. You were hoping to get some seconds of small talk and work before starting the big conversation. "Well, then I guess you can get them right now.."
