"you're Leaving!?" Pt3

Thomas's pov

James had to go home, so I decided to go take a walk. As I open my door, I see a shattered bowl and mac and cheese on the floor.

Lafayette must've brought it upstairs.

Wait...

If he'd had been up here he must have heard me and James talking. Who knows how long it's been since he'd been up here!..

I run down the stairs and stand in front of Lafayette's door and sigh before knocking.

"go away.." I hear Lafayette say, though I could barely hear him, considering his door is a little soundproof.

"come on, Laf, open the door, please.." I knock again, this time a little harder.

"Just go be with Dad! I don't even know why you even wanna see him.."

"Just open the door, please.." I knock one more time before I hear the door unlock; the hinges creak as the door slowly opens.

I walk inside and sit on the floor before Lafayette starts to speak "Why do you even wanna go back there? Didn't Dad treat you like shit..?"

I nod my head. "Yeah, but I bet he's changed. It's been a few years, he's probably not the same person he was when we were little"

Lafayette rolled his eyes and sighed. "Well, you know mom didn't change, so what makes you think dad changed.."

Lafayette started tearing up "Why are you leaving me again..?" he looked up at me with tears now rolling down his cheeks

I go over to his drawer and open it before pulling out the necklace I gave him before we were taken away from each other "You see this?" I say as I walk over to him and put it around his neck

"as long as you have this, we will never be apart, do you understand..?" Lafayette nodded and pulled me into a hug

"Je t’aime grand frère" i pat his back "i love you too laf"
