Andy's POV
"Hi, I'm Calvin," Andy hears from the other room, as he quickly gets up to go to the door.
"Yeah, I know," Andy watches as Blaine pushes Calvin aside and makes his way towards him.
"Well, you're rude," Calvin mutters quietly.
"Blaine! I told you, you didn't need to come over," Andy yells, shocked by Blaine's behavior. Suddenly, Andy's mom peeks around the corner.
"Oh, hi, Blaine. What are you doing here? Andy didn't tell me you were coming over." His mom looks back and forth between Andy and Blaine with a huge grin on her face.
"Andy didn't know I was coming over. It was kinda spur of the moment." Blaine looks at Andy and Andy gives him a look, trying to tell him to stop, but Blaine decides it's the perfect moment to continue. He throws his arm over Andy's shoulder, "we're just so close that he doesn't care when I come over." Andy pushes him off.
"I think you both have some stuff to figure out. Andy, later tonight, when your 'friend' leaves, I wanna show you something I have." Calvin throws a smirk on his face as he stares at Blaine. He then shoved past Blaine and Andy, going to his room.
"What is wrong with you?" Andy whisper screams at Blaine.
"I did nothing."
"Yes, you did." Andy's mom walks away, deciding to give them privacy.
"What did I do?"
"Oh, I don't know. First you rushed over here, suddenly, might I add. Then you're an arse to Calvin. You put your arm around me and continued to take the conversation further, even after I wanted you to stop." Blaine takes a step back, throwing his hands up in surrender.
"Dude, I'm just trying to be a good friend."
"I know I remember little, but I don't think this is what friendship is. It feels like it's crossing a line."
"What line? What's so wrong with me wanting to stand up for you? What's so wrong with me wanting to hang out with you?"
"I enjoy your company, believe me, but I don't need a protector. This is my life now and, at some point, I need to figure out how to fend for myself." Andy didn't realize until now how much this had been weighing on him. He didn't hate being this close with Blaine, he just hated that Blaine kept calling it "friendship". Blaine has a hurt expression on his face.
"You shouldn't have to!" Blaine takes a step closer to Andy, "You have me!" He points at himself, maintaining eye contact with Andy.
"I know that, but I can't rely on you forever. If I don't learn how to be my own person, then I will never be capable of functioning right again." Andy says in a much calmer tone than before.
"I'm your best friend! I'm supposed to be there for you every step of the way."
"No, you're not. Not like this." Andy sadly looks away.
"What do you mean by 'like this'? Like what?"
"If you don't see it, then I can't show you. Figure this part out on your own."
"Are you fucking kidding me? You're seriously going to drop me. Act like I don't matter to you. Well then, fuck you. I hope you have a miserable life." Blaine stomps out the door, slamming it behind him. Andy froze in place as his heart became cold. Andy quickly runs to his room before his mom tries to say something. He slams the door behind him and slides down it, collapsing to the floor as he breaks down. Tears flowing from his eyes as if a dam had just been broken. His heart shattered into a million pieces.
